My hometown was a cowtown (Swift Packing PLant) South of St Paul, Minnesota. The Mississippi River runs along the bluffs below the house my dad & uncle built. We had the most fun as kids growing up roller skating on the tennis court, sledding down the hills, digging in the sandpit across the road for agates, there was Fleming Field airport a great place to go look at the old WWII fighter planes full of bullet holes & stories. I grew up with two boy cousins about the same age was & am a tomboy. We played softball with all the kids in the neighborhood & played by our own rules. It was a fun place to grow up. The biggest change was when I got my first job in St. Paul at a publishing company & it was a melting pot. There was every race, color, & creed working at that place. Everyone there was nuts & it was like a big family soap opera. Then I decided to get married & moved south of the border ( it is a little warmer in the winters) Iowaway. I still have my Minnesotaian accent too, yah, you betcha etc.
