Akasha - hmm?
The word resembles Alaska, my home. Alaska means, "the great land (and indeed, it is the greatest of all lands).
Does Akasha, perhaps, mean, "the great kitty"?
Black cat, just like my good buddy, Jim Slim Many Toes, though Akasha is slimmer than Jim Slim, but not so skinny as Jim Slim was back when he became Jim Slim.
So there - we have two commonalties: Alaska and Akasha - and "great kitty" slender black cats (and I will not argue with you as to which is the greatest of all kitties, for we both know and are firm in our convictions). Jim Slim does not chase laser pointers, but probably only for lack of opportunity, as he has been known to swat cursers on computer screens.
Oh - and there is a third commonality. Jim came into my life when I was in mourning for the orginal black cat and stepped into the void, but did not replace him, for a beloved cat can never be replaced.
Go, Akasha, go! Get that laser beam.! Go! Go! Go!
But what will you do with it once you catch it?
As for Akasha's fear of the spray air-freshener, I suspect this is because it sounds like a hissing cat, but one that does not look like a cat and so is ever more fearful than a cat.
