I have contacted CAAWS again, pointing out how many more have been reproduced because of their delay and offering to do whatever it takes to get these cats spayed if I have to trap and transport them to wherever they need to go to be fixed.. I offered to do that before!
I also contacted Cat Haven asking for help and they had this posted on their web sight "Cat Haven's Feral Program has two goals: First, to reduce the population explosion by spaying and neutering feral cats; second, to capture young feral kittens so they may be socialized and domesticated to be good pets. Our program utilizes the proven method of Trap-Neuter-Release (T-N-R). After trapping, each cat is spayed or neutered, given a rabies vaccination and treated for minor ailments."
So maybe they will take the kittens, I asked them to take them with or without the mother when I leave for work.. (I tried them with the can food again this morning and 3 ate it this time.) I made the same offer to Cat Haven to trap and transport and asked if we could set something up NOW for when I get back from work in September. So, with both is is a sit back and wait and see what happens...
I went and got the kittens again this morning and they do seem not so frightened of me this morning. That little Buttons is a screamer, he is the most verbal of them ALL so I am betting it was him that gave away where they were yesterday. They don't like being caged away from their mother at all so I put her in there with them from time to time to calm them down... shuts them right up! I tried just letting them roam but they get under my concrete steps and I can get to them when they are there... they NEED to be where I can handle them frequently..

 Aweee they are all just Cutie Pies.. Good Luck with them & mom.. For sure mom needs to be spayed as soon as her milk drys up.. Hopefully soon the kittens can be weined & for mom's milk to dry up..
-
They're all so adorable but Buttons has stolen my heart.:D I'd have a very hard time parting with this little guy.:) I hope that you'll be able to get the help that you need and that Priscilla will be able to be spayed soon.
-
Oh Laura, they are precious!!! Little Button is especially cute. I hope you'll find homes for them all - pictures might help. ;)
Good luck, and thanks for helping them.

Well my kittens just turned 3 weeks old yesterday, and they're still smaller and less coordinated than yours appear to be. My guess would be 5-6 weeks old.
At any rate, they are ADORABLE! I'd help out if I was closer!

I fixed them a nicer place under the house last night and put them back under there and when I went to get them this morning.. I couldn't find them but I knew they were still under there because everytime I would go out, Priscilla would come out from under there. They finally followed her out and I had no trouble gathering them up and putting them in the cage for more socializing. They are no longer afraid of me and only 1 hissed at me today when I gathered them up. Now they look at me and "MEEEW", coming up to me from inside the cage so I think we have come a long way with having them socialized. Buttons comes right up to me begging to be held. I tried feeding them this morning but they must have had their tummies full, none were interested.
No word from CAAWS or Cat Haven this morning. All the neighbors are coming by to see them and to handle them but nobody will take then while I am gone. I had half the neighborhood here late yesterday and all just fell in love with Buttons but nobody offered to help with anything. :(

Any updates? Any solutions?

Oh Laura, those babies are just too adorable! And little Buttons, so much mischief on such a sweet little face. You might want to consider putting a sign over your door warning everyone of Major Cuteness Overload.
Prayers are being prayed that good, reliable help will come your way and PT quality homes will be found for all of them. Sending lovies to all

Great news.. I think I have found someone to sponsor getting ALL of this family S/N.. The offer has been made, I just hope they don't change their mind by the time I get back! Also, someone local wants one of them from just seeing their pictures and wanting to come pick out the one she wants. She already has cat experience and I think is a responsible pet owner.. I WILL question her when she comes to make sure.
Check out these new pictures of the babies.. they are growing like weeds, eating, even trying to eat the Science Diet I put out for their Mama. They are VERY interested in the smell of the food... We like to have died laughing at one yesterday, licking the whole bowl after Mama ate all the SD..
I just call t his one O.P., for Orange Paw, that one orange paw is so darn cute. All pads on her feet at black, except for this one, that one is pink..
