I know someone that doesn't refridgerate her ketchup or mustard b/c she can't stand putting something cold on something hot. It does not make sense to her.

I had to deal with a "dorm" size fridge when I lived in a one room apartment. What a pain in the arse that was!! Ask Davidp. I had to keep ice cubes and ice cream on the ledge to keep it from melting. That was until it got warmer and the stuff slid off the ledge 3 stories below. I now have a bigger fridge (regular size) that keeps ice cream and ice perfectly!!
I was told that when a fridge goes bad or the electricity goes off, the stuff in the fridge is good 24-48 hours providing you limit the opening and closing of the door.
Blue,
When in doubt, REFRIGERATE!!!
It didnt lose power, when I went to get the cheese for my cheese burgers the fridge and freezer were blowing warm air in there.
I have always bought mustard and ketchup for that matter bulk. Now the can of ketchup i buy fills 1 big bottle and a regular size bottle,But..as you know the mustard bottles are alot smaller so the bulk container i have stays in my pantry and i use it as needed.I never found a difference in the taste.
