Well, Leda is here. :( (sad because of the return)
She is hiding in the litter box in the cage I have her confined to. Porr thing must be confused.
She is as gorgeous as I remember her. And once she feels more at home, I will bet she will be as sweet as I remember.
Why do people move to where they aren't allowed to have their pets with them??
Ugh.
I hope Leda will acclimate quickly and be a sweetie once more.
Poor Leda. This entire situation is so disturbing. Would he move to a new place if it didn't allow his kids to be there? Not hardly.
Oh Jen, I feel so bad for poor Leda. I am thankful that this sweet kitty girl was returned to your loving care rather than being put in a shelter somewhere or....worse.... being abandoned and left all alone to fend for herself outside somewhere. Bless you!!
My prayers continue for Leda to find the loving, caring furever home she so richly deserves. The best part of all this is she has you solidly on her side.
Groucho sends you lots of purrs, headbumpies and kitty kisses to thank you for helping his fellow kitty in need
Oh, I should mention that when the man dropped Leda off tonight he added more to the "reason" (not that it matters.....she was suppose to be family)
Supposedly the man now has to do runs for work (he drives) that are sometimes as long as 5 days out not to mention the 5 days to get back....so Leda would have no one to care for her at home. (YES, he does live alone...with no family) So, what can a person do? I wasn't going to argue with him to find out how often this happens and why can't he have someone watch her, etc.
Yes I agree he could of found someone to look after her but at least he didn't toss her out and took her back to you where he felt that was a good thing to do.
I'm sure she will get a home quickly.
She sounds very beautiful.
Sorry about having those other 2 returned as well. Hopefully they will have a home soon as well.

I'm sorry to hear that Leda has been returned:( but I'm glad that she was returned to you. I'm sure that in time she'll come out of her shell and hopefully this time she'll really find the purrfect forever home. Good luck.:)
A little Leda update.
She spent the last 2 months in a room by herself. She hides most of the day, I believe, but she always comes out to visit me when I go to her room. she will NOT come out of hiding for Charlie.
As of last week, I had to bring the white twins (Angelic and Sarafina) home due to a spot of ringworm. So they needed Leda's room. Leda went to the adoption center for a trial run.
Sh has been VERY VERY scared. But, there is a lady who is thinking of adopting her. The lady is by herself (a widow) who lost her 2 elderly cats recently. She met Leda and even though Leda was petrified, the lady feels a "connection".
The catch is that the lady is moving ad won't be settled for 3 to 4 weeks. So Leda is going to spend some time in a differnt foster home, one that has a spare roo that she can have all to herself.
So spare a few thoughts for Leda and send some good vibes to her POSSIBLE new mom. I KNOW that Leda has the ability to bond with a person just as she has bonded with me.
Confused? That's probably putting it mildly. Poor girl, she has really had a bad time of it for the past year.:(:( I feel so badly for her.
I'll be praying that the woman who is interested in her will turn out to be her guardian angel. Before my MIL died, she had adopted a cat whose owner had passed away. Fred was terrified of anyone because he had only known one person his whole life. He must have hidden for weeks before he came out (we rarely saw him because he was scared of strangers), but they bonded. After she died, we had to find a new home for him and were lucky enough to find a wonderful woman who had other pets. Fred blended in with the family and lived for a few more years. So miracles do happen.
Keep us posted as to Leda's outlook!
Thats a shame about Leda , and we hope that this lady will be the person who will give Leda her place in the sun , and her furrever home!!!
She certainly does deserve a break after all that she has been through!!!:love:
Oh I'm sorry to hear this. Poor scared little girl. I do hope that the prospective adoption will work out. Gentle pets to Leda.
Prayers for Leda and for Angelica and Sarafina too!
