Goodness he is handsome, and looks completely at home already! Congratulations, Chokka - you landed in a good place. Now bark at your Mom to join Pet Talk herself, okay? ;)
Its funny Karen I thought I should invite her on pettalk. She sees me on it at work all the time when I am suppose to be working!
He is quite dashing isn't he and he has that poodle walk, or should I say strut:D
OOOh, I've been waiting for the photo! And for the news that he went to your friend, as well. Where does the word / name Chokka come from / mean?
What a lovely chocolate color, I could eat him UP! :D
Its a funny story, I went overseas years ago and my friend said "how will you communicate" and I said I don't know I will say choka boka...so I became chokka and she became bokka....its a wierd story..so our other friend named him chokka after me...and he is sort of chocolate.
GASP!! What a handsome guy!!! Bella is in love! :love: :p Whatever happened with the chip? Weren't his people able to be found? I am so glad that he has a good home. Tell your friend that PT needs more poodle people so she needs to join. LOL!
Pam, I am sure they tried to contact the owner through the chip. I don't know what happened, the owners could have dropped him off as a stray, that happens...who knows it could have been financial or many reasons, he was very thin. He was there for 11 days so they had plenty of time.
Bodea, my standard poodle girl is also all agog. What a beautiful boy you are Chokka. Sounds like you are already beloved by your new family. How wonderful!
Lots more pics and stories, please! :love:
He's adorable! :love: I have met a few standard poodles, not where I work though a girl I was babysitting when I was younger her moms' friends had a few they are so sweet! Much like labs to me! ;)
He's totally YUMMY! :love::love::love:
Ooooh! How lucky!!! My heart always skips a beat whenever I see especially beautiful purebreds in pounds (i.e. that dobe that I SHOULD have adopted but sadly lucked out). So I understand that exhilarating feeling. So glad you guys were able to nab him up before somebody else took him :D He IS beautiful!
Oh, what a gorgeous poodle! Wowie, wow! And the PT "poodle people" Katelf and Pam have checked in -- yeay! I have learned so much about the poodle from PT! Welcome, Chokka - you are just beautiful, dare I say it- yummy. Could you please have your people give you a welcome petting for me.
Agh...I can't see the picture from my computer at work. I will log on tonight from home to see handsome Chokka :)
Mr. Brindle Pitt has a name. I just looked on the website and now he has a name: Jelly Bean. It must be meant to be that I help this dog. My cat is named Bean for a reason :) I will repost his info. now with his name.
Here is the latest link:

It is definitely meant to be.
I hope Chokka is doing okay, he was sneezing Friday so we suspected he was going to come down with kennel cough. She had an appointment for him on Sunday, that is all her vet had available.
My friend just sent a email to work saying she doesn't feel well...I hope everything is going okay.
