While I am sorry that you are offended, felinefriend, I do not apologize for the statement, for it was made in the highest of regards and compliments to the caretakers of Frankie. What I stated was true; there are many, many such people who would do just what I said and it is so good to read stories of another kind of people; those who care and have compassion and will take the extra effort to make certain a cat such as Frankie has a good life.
I love the animals who live here with me, and those that are wild, but I do not put them in a fairytale or make-believe world; I recognize the real world for all that it is and so admire all the more people such as those who went to such lengths to wrap the love of their home around Frankie. When I see such compassion, I will contrast it with the lack of compassion which so abounds in life.
If anything that I wrote caused you do doubt whether or not I love animals, or to imagine that you love them more, then I am forced to conclude that you did not read my statement closely, or you did not understand it, or both.
Now, I do not wish to fight with you, so continue on and enjoy your feline friends, as I do mine.

Okay, I appreciate your prompt reply, Frostfrog! Maybe I didn't read your comments correctly, plus I am not feeling well this week and am beyond myself. Maybe what truly offends me is "the real world" as you put it, and the animal cruelty that I hear about in the news too often. I too cannot apologize for my own feelings of being offended to any words such as shooting an animal, but I do apologize if I took any offense to you in a wrong manner. Thank you, from one animal lover to another, felinefriend.

And thank you - the black cat, by the way, just walked across the keyboard. Now he sits atop the monitor, his tail hanging down in front of the screen.

Old Blue Toes!
I loved your story - his paternal instincts remind me of Meatball, a male Siamese who lived with me years ago. I had a new mother cat with a littler of six kittens (not his) and I found him nestled in the kittie box, six kittens cuddled up to his belly, searching for a milk source, or just sleeping and purring. I swear he winked at me! He was just giving mom a break.
I think the blue soft paws are great! I never got any for Grasshopper and have often wondered how they worked. And if the cats minded them. I think they're much kinder than declawing - no forum, please!
So, Frankie, m'boy, you have a wonderful day! I caught your pic first thing this a.m. when I went to work, and thanks to Frostfrogs post, I decided to take a little time to tell you how much joy you brought me. Congratulations!!!

Franky, I liked you so much, but was just soo busy with work and couldn't write anything.
I admire big and soft tomcats like you:D Oh, your eyes are absolutely astonishing, and your blue matching nails.
You remind me of both Vasea - Juni's father, because he used to take care of Juni better than her mother, and her mother - Naomi too, because of the nails. We used to paint her nails with red color and she liked it so much, she was a very fashionable kitty.
