Prayers that Moon will be in and out of the clinic in no time and home with nice clean teeth by tomorrow afternoon. :)
My cat Jade was 17 when she had her teeth cleaned and had a tooth removed. She did very well and went on to live for 4 more years. But I do understand your worry as anesthesia is a serious matter. PT prayers that all will go very well! Please update when Mr. Moon is home sweet home.
Thinking of Moon today.
THANKS! He did fine and we will be picking him up at 2:30! Can't wait to baby him tonight! Moon LOVES to eat so this morning was a challenge...nothing to eat or drink since 10 pm last night. We picked up his food and water bowls and this morning he was sitting ON the mat where his bowls usually are. He kept opening his mouth really wide when I'd walk by. I had to keep telling him "no, Moon, I didn't forget to feed you honey...you can't eat this morning". Somehow, I don't think he understood and he thinks I've lost my marbles :). We fed Bean and Sunny out of sight of Moon so atleast he doesn't think it's just him :) Of course, I took pictures of him sitting on his food mat and will post them tonight :)
THANKS SO MUCH FOR CARING ABOUT MOON
As per my previous post, here is the pic of Moonie wanting to know where his food and water went this morning...

The pic of Moon made me chuckle. I don't know if he looks more pi$$ed or fuzz brained. How cute! Glad that he came through A-OK. :)
Oh he was Pi$$ed! This picture was taken this morning before we took him to the vet. He had to be NPO from 10 pm last night. He is home and walking around all fuzzy now. He just had some soft food for dinner. The bad news is he did lose 4 teeth! The vet said his teeth were bad. He had even lost one at some point and she had to "dig out the root". Yuck! We feel soooo bad for not having done this sooner but atleast we now know better and will keep on top of it (and Bean!) I just had Bean in last week and they said his teeth look fine; wouldn't recommend a cleaning yet. He's 8. Thanks again everyone! Especially catlady for all your great vet advice
I am so happy Moon is back and did well, i know how concerned you were, he will be a much happier kitty from now on,and i am glad he got a clean bill of health, take care Moon ,we all love ya.:)
Aww, I missed this earlier. Moon is funny sitting on his mat wondering where his food is. I'll be going through the same thing with Taz on Thursday morning.
Glad to hear he is home and he will feel so much better now. Taz had to have one of his fangs removed a few years back. He still eats funny, but he is able to eat. That's what matters. :D
Please give Moon some scritchies from me. :)
I AM SUPRISED THAT YOUR VET DID NOT SEND HOME SOME A/D FOOD WHICH ALL CATS LOVE :love::love: AND IS SOFT AND SUPER TASTY:love::love:
MOON COULD HAVE HAD A SPECIAL TREATS AS HIS MOUTH GOT BETTER.:D:cool::love::)
YAY Mr. Moonie! I'm so glad he made it through and is back home. That picture is so funny. It's as if he is thinking "does she need me to draw her a map?!? THIS is where I usually eat!!" LOL He is very handsome. :) Please give him a hug for me.
I'm glad to hear that he's home now and that everything went well.:) Too bad he had to loose 4 teeth but I'm sure he'll feel much better now.:)
