I DID get it! I got a call from Jill early this afternoon and she told me that they want to offer me the position!!! All I have to pass is my criminal background check!!! :) Yay!!!
They're closed tomorrow (Dr. and I'm sure some of the employees are Jewish) and then she's off until Tuesday of next week. So, on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. I'll be going in to sign paperwork for my background check and then we'll go from there. Assuming the government and the cops don't know about all the criminal activity I'm involved in daily, ;) I should get the job!
I know in my heart all my PT, church, family and friend's prayers sure worked to get me this job. Thank you all so very much. I'm intending on keeping this job (doing EVERYTHING in my power to get to work daily regardless of my health) until become an RN (yes, had to change from MD to RN due to my health...and, I much prefer my patient care. I may consider becoming an NP as well...but we'll see.).
I don't know if I shared this yet, but the 2 Back Office girls that I shadowed on Friday (one is a CNA and the other an MA, = Med Assistant, like me!) are in their mid to late 20s, and both told me they want to work there for forever!! They want to retire there! They said that the job is wonderful, that they wake up and enjoy coming into work. They said they're treated SO WELL, especially by the doctor and the benefits/pay they earn, there is no reason whatsoever to look elsewhere. This is EXACTLY what I wanted to hear!! Everyone there is so genuinely nice...not fakey fake nice where you can tell they're putting it on for the patients, actually, normally nice.
This job is more hands on than the last dermatology office I worked at, so that's REALLY great. I LOVE all that stuff. I've always been able to assist in surgery before, but not Mohs. This doctor allows us to assist in Mohs which is just fantastic! (Mohs Surgery removes skin cancer caused by the sun. SKin in the area of the pre-cancer/cancer is removed layer by layer and then checked under the microscope to see if the boarders are cancer free. If they are, its time to close up the wound, if not, you keep removing a layer of skin until cancer free.)
Anyway, I'm more than thrilled!! Thank you all, SO MUCH!!!!
