Shadow's Gone. (#39)

I'm thinking of Shadow and your family, I hope you get good news from the vet.

Fingers crossed for a good vet visit. *HUGS*

She's home. He wants to see her again tomorrow.

He had some of the blood results, the rest he sent out and we'll know more tomorrow. Normal liver count is supposed to be between 80-150, hers was 1489. He didn't really want to say anymore until he gets the results back tomorrow. But what he said today is basically her liver isn't functioning properly (obviously) and the best we can do for now is to support her until we know more.

Elevated counts may be due to viral or bacterial infection, parasites, cancer, inflammation, obstructive bile duct disease, toxic reactions, or from some medications.

Oh poor Shadow, sending lots of prayers and hugs and positive thoughts your way. I pray it is nothing to serious and can be taken care of.

Fingers and paws crossed that it is just an infection that can be cleared up with antibiotics. More hugs for that big girl.

Wow, those are some high levels.

I really hope he can find something out from the tests and let you know when you take her back in.
