I'll e-mail Clara today and find out.
Sorry guys - there has been much drama with this poor pup. As I told you all, we had offered to take this guy into our organization and were waiting for him to get in to be vetted and neutered and then transported to Buffalo.
I received an email from one of the senior volunteers for the group - apparently the pup was being fostered by a new volunteer to the organization. They went last week to pick up the pup to take him in for his vet appointment and the foster mom claimed to not have him.
As it turns out, it was discovered that the new volunteer/foster gave the pup to her brother that had been visiting the previous week to take home with him. The group we work with is very upset as the new volunteer did this without any consultation with the senior volunteers or any vetting what so ever. We can only hope that the gentleman who got the pup will take good care of him, but since it was all done "behind the scenes", we have no way of knowing.
Pitc9 - thank you so much for everything you offered. It really does my heart good to know there are still many people who will go out of their way to help animals in need.
And - I thought you might like to see my latest foster dog, Elmo. He is such a sweetheart, but he has something going on with his back legs. We took him to the orthopedic specialist yesterday and it looks like an ACL tear. We're having x-rays taken to see if surgery is needed.

OMG!! I hope they find out where the pup is so someone can at least check up on the little guy!
Thanks for letting us know Clara!
I hope they drop that new volunteer foster from their active list or
give her a serious talk regarding her role with these dogs. If they don't
know her that well, it would be hard to imagine how responsible the guy
who took the pup really is. You guys all did your very best for the pup. :)
