How wonderful Jasmine went to a foster mom who took her in for a check right away - and now she is being treated!
Poor kitty likely got a bit dehydrated on the plane - I know I sure do!
Give her some hugs and scritchies from me....SOOO looking forward to pics! :)
I feel so bad that I didn't take Jasmine from her owner and get her to the vets and get her medical treatment before Tonya sent her on a flight to you.
Your vet sounds like a good vet and I hope Jasmine pulls through just fine.
Thanks all, Steve (Dr Pope) called this am he may release her today, if she begins to eat on her own. So far she isn't.
Melissa, it IS not your fault, I spoke with her owner when she arrived to discuss the cats medical records she chose to decline insulin for her nearlya year ago, her vet records show she had been treated at the vets for diabetes management, it just wasn't kept up at home. Now I am living proof that PT prayers work... Jassy needs them so I ask them from all of you!
Jassy can't lose when we are all in her corner!
Melissa,
Kym is right, do NOT blame yourself. Kym, if it weren't for you taking Jasmine, she would've died otherwise. So, blame the owner who after years of having this cat KNOWING her life depended upon insulin, decided she didn't want the hassle any longer and pawned her off on someone else. Shame on them.
At least now Jasmine has a chance at a great life, forever how long that may be.
((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))
I'm so glad Jasmine is doing better.
How does that previous owner sleep at night? So sad to withhold insulin for over a year. I'm surprised her vet didnt turn her in for animal crulity.
I pray that lady doesnt get anymore animals.
Just spoke with Dr Pope, Jas will NOT be coming home today :( . she still will not eat on her own so she will be there untill Monday at the least, hate to ask this again but can we all say prayers....candles are lit here and she is still a VERY young cat only 5 soooooooooooo cmon PT I know we can pull this girl through!
Prayers for Jasmine on the way, from RI!

Still keeping Jasmine and you in our prayers here in Indiana!
We are all praying and singing and dancing and chanting and sending our healing energies to bring Jasmine back to good health and home.
Love, hugs, and purrs,
Pat and cats
PT Prayers for Jasmine!
Come on, sweetie, a loving and wonderful home awaits you! :)
With TUNA and GOOD STUFF!
Gee, Kym, maybe sneak some tuna into the vets.... :D
Will do a special healing just for Jas tonight. :)
Thank you all so much, I will be calling the vet around 11 to see how she is, and how her night went.
Candace I think I will sneak some smelly tuna in for her!
In April according to her vet records she was on an appetite stimulant,Cyproheptadine 4 mg 2-3xs a day, so obviously this si not her first crash :(
I will let everyone know what the Staff says as soon as I know!
Love
Kym
You don't have to ask for prayers for this sweet girl; we are willing and happy to do that for you!
You did the right thing taking her in for a checkup. A pox on that former owner who probably exacerbated her condition. How could ANYone do that to a sick animal???
