I hope you and Chester are feeling better this morning, Connie. Poor babies.....both of you. :)
:D :D :D Sara and Lynne, you guys are too funny!!!
Thanks again, everyone! Having friends like you makes these upsets easier to take. Chester is fine and helped me do the dishes this morning which consisted of his hanging over the sink watching me, grabbing at the soap suds, and waiting to make sure all the water got down the drain without his help. I now have the headache. I am surprised how much my head hurts. I've dabbed antiseptic on it and it's doing pretty good. Good thing we both have such hard heads.
If you'd like to see what the rascal looks like (well sort of, the pictures are his baby pics), Sandra kindly put my babies under the thread Come Meet Momoffuzzyfaces FurFamily. They really do exist.:D
"Casey" (all-time #1 GSD, {RB} :( ) was about 2 yo when Fred (part-Siamese) arrived as an adoptee super-tiny, weeks old kitty Kat. Fred adopted Casey as foster mom and followed Casey everywhere - including meals.
Fred would stand on her hind legs and dangle her head into Casey's bowl and try to mouth what kibble she could reach...
Fred developed a taste and finally managed to *eat* a piece one night... Casey gave a soft *Grrrr* and curled a lip; but gave up and continued eating around Fred. Feeling *full*, Fred needed a nap, and slowly climbed up and into  the bowl, curled up and covered what was left of Casey's dinner. Casey whined and gave me a *Daaaaddd...* look. I shrugged and glanced away.
Heard a muffled *Meee-rowww* then a soft *Thudddd* and lookd back to see Fred tottering, legs askew, and rapidly *shaking* her tiny head - beside the bowl! Casey was happily finishing her dinner.
I picked up the kitten and discovered her head was quite damp - with Dawg Drool! Seems Casey had, ever so gently, picked up the offending Kitty - by the head - and placed her back on the floor!
Thereafter, Casey would permit Fred to share one or two krunch pieces at meals; then curl a lip as a signal to back off. Fred would obediently sit down and observe till Casey was finished; then climb right in and lick up any remaining dust and crumbs.
They were quite a pair! :)
Awwww....that's such a sweet story of Casey and Fred. Must have been written by Phred though, instead of Cinder or Smoke or even Bootz. ;) :)
and now we see how you selected the name, Phred.
Awww, Phred, that was a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing it with us. Dawg Drool on a kitty head...my boys would never recover!
THANKS FOR THE LOVELY STORY PHRED!
LETS FACE IT THESE ITSY BITSY KITTIES HAVE TO BE PUT IN THEIR PLACE NOW & THEN - BUT *DAWG DROOL* - URRGGGHHHHHHH! POOR FRED! :( :p
