Liz, when I decided I was ready for my second dog and definitely wanted to adopt, I almost became paralyzed in the decision making process of where to look and what dog to choose and how not to make a mistake. The last thing I wanted to ever have to do was to rehome a dog I had taken in. By chance I read a story in Guideposts about a lady who was looking for a dog in the shelters and just didn't know which one would work for her. She then prayed about it and on a subsequent trip to a shelter immediately recognized the dog she wanted to adopt. I decided to pray about my decision as well. It wasn't long after that Tucker was actually *delivered to my door* and it was obvious that he was exactly the right dog for us.
Thankful for answered prayers

Sue,
Thanks very much for the link. I printed off the explanations
today at work. It's really helpful to put this beside the test
results and read what each thing actually means.Doc wants
to treat Bud with a strict diet of hills prescription diet r/d only.
He wants Bud to lose another 10-15 lbs ,to ease stress on
his joints/spine and reduce the need for medication.
Rachel,
Before I went looking for Buddy, I had this vague yearning
for a companion pup to love & raise. I just had this feeling
that I would know the right pup when I saw him/her. I saw
plenty of cute dogs(big & small) but it took awhile until I
found the one that just said "Here I Am", that was Buddy.
Well, now I hear another one calling me I think. Liz.
