What a wise kitty you are, to know who to reach out to and pat. There's no feeling in the world like being petted by a kitty!! Blessings on your human family, for taking you away from a bad situation. I have nothing but contempt for people who abuse animals. I hope your heart heals as you learn that not all of us two-foots are evil.

Shorty i was so heartbroken to read you came from an abusive home but so elated that your new owner took you out of that situation. You are so handsome, my Katie girl would just fall in love with you i'm sure. She's a tabby also.
