Luna is very proud now that you think her whiskers are so special! :)

I liked Lisa's idea, that Luna has naturally curly whiskers. Have you been feeding her bread crusts? I was told when a child that if I ate my crusts, I'd have curly hair.
After reading this thread last night, I did a survey of 19 cat faces and boy did I get some funny looks from my clan. I hadn't paid all that much attention before, except that I love Dude's because they are white and really long. I found both short and long sets that stuck out at the sides, almost militarily straight. Ones that curved downward, making me think of handlebar mustaches. Ones that curved slight forward, which gave a rather cute look. And some that curved up but not as much as Luna's.
I think a little wildness in Lua's whiskers just make her more beautiful. Have you heard of the poem "A Sweet Disorder" by Robert Herrick? It's one of my favorites.
A sweet disorder in the dress
Kindles in clothes a wantonness:
A lawn about the shoulders thrown
Into a fine distraction--
An erring lace, which here and there
Enthrals the crimson stomacher--
A cuff neglectful, and thereby
Ribbands to flow confusedly--
A winning wave, deserving note,
In the tempestuous petticoat--
A careless shoe-string, in whose tie
I see a wild civility--
Do more bewitch me than when art
Is too precise in every part.
