met him???i worked for ian at the 76 games at bromont!!! we had him with the horse called "countdown"...big blk. thoroughbred...we also had Branch County...a little chestnut that with michelle vaillancourt won the individual silver there.....
i worked with pierre joliceur for many years...michelles and ians' groundman....
ben was a great horse....i remember when he was a prelim.. horse in arizona in 82...great heart that animal....but ian is a master...nobody rides and thinks like that man....he just doesn't miss...he is so calculating!!!true genius!!!!!
i remember when we went indoors in the fall...when we got to toronto...there would be hoof prints painted in the aisles leading to bens' stall so all the kids could go visit him.....what a great horse!!!!
i also bought the great "Killer Tom" in canada from Mac Cone...greatest hunter that ever came out of canada...CH. at toronto, wash. and n.y......
gail rode Mr. T to win the world championship in 1986...he was just a little thing...maybe 16.1 on agood day...but what a heart....they put him down a couple of years later...feet couldn't take it...he had rotated....what a shame
oh don't get me started...i had so many good years in that industry......
i now live right near wellington...thats' where everybody shows during the winter....they might move the garden here in nov....so i get to see all of my old friends when they are down here...michelle,pierre,ian...all come here each year

Wow!! I envy you! Your so lucky!! I'd LOVE to work at a place like that. I love the sport, and everything about it! If you ever see Ian Millar again, tell him I think he's awesome, and truely an amazing rider! (LOL don't mind me..)
