I don't wear fur. I think the only thing I've worn like that is a little bit of leather on my shoes. It bothered me to wear them, but I don't wear them anymore.

no...couldnt imagine myself ever...
I have a mink coat. It was handed down to me from my grandmother. I've never been able to bring myself to wear it though. I'm actually considering turning it into some cat beds!
My ex-boyfriend gave me a fur coat that had belonged to his mother. It was a sweet gesture. But it grossed me out, and I never wore it. I know it hurt his feelings, but I just couldn't do it.Quote:

But, even if that were the case, I woulnd't wear fur. I just have never liked it. Just not my style. Plus, I have enough dog hair that has been shed all over the house, I don't want a coat shedding, too.
I don't wear fur, but I do wear leather when I'm on the motorcycle.
Yep not only from my spinning but from a friend who raises foxes , hes saving me a few for a coat. Alsso he raises Bobcat kittens for pets and if they loss any I get the hides for the trim I'm planning for my coat.
I wear leather occasionally, but not fur. And of course I'm always covered in Nebo fur.
If the animal was killed for meat and eaten and the fur or hide (leather) is also used I don't see a problem. But hunting simply for fur or raising animals in captivity to kill them for their fur is very wrong in my opinion. We have the ability to make fake fur I see absolutely no need for this practice to continue just for "fashion."
Has anyone seen the (Dateline, 20/20, one of those shows...) special that was on a few years ago about the trade of dog and cat fur? They found fur from dogs and cats on fur coats in stores in the US. I still have the images in my head from watching that....I won't go into details.
No - DEFINETLY not. Might be feel comfortable but I would never feel comfortable on the inside when I'm in fur... I'd never wear fur... EVER.
Now I think that is cruel... raising foxes and then skinning them for their fur... uck :(Quote:

They are both bad... cows for leather, foxes for coats...what's gone on with the world? Its better if they're used for meat... but for their skin and fur that doesnt even feed us and we kill animals anyway. That's wrong... and skinning foxes has nothing to do with feeding your family.Quote:

On special occasions I will wear a black sweat shirt and purposely hug each of my collies to sport a smooth rough fur look!!!!:D
Thanks I did mean he raises them for the $$ to feed his kids. They do also eat the meat so nothing goes to waste. I tried some once he makes a sasuage from it . He's part navaho(sp) native american.
Tim I don't even have to wear a sweat shirt I have spun sweaters from my newfies . I get enough each spring for 2-3 exlarge coat sweaters.
I voted depends..Mostly because I don't have any fur, so obviously I can't wear any. But if I had the chance to wear it, it would depend on what it was. Honestly I find fur to be tacky. But I did have these gloves when I was little, and the inside of each glove was covered in rabbit fur. They were so soft and felt so nice on my hands. It would have to be something inconspicuous.
