Feel better Nebo.
Oh no poor Nebo :(, feel better soon sweet boy. Goodluck with the carpet cleaning mama Amy.
Poor Nebo. :( Sorry you didn't feel well sweetie.Hope you belly feels better soon. :)
Thanks everyone for your well wishes. First off, I believe I have found the cause of his sickness! I was at work today (with Nebo, didn't dare leave him home) and telling my boss what had happened. I told her how the vet thought it was some sort of toxin that caused it but we didn't know what. It took her a minute then she told me that she saw them spraying the grass (Some sort of bug/weed killer? I don't know) in the parking lot on Thursday morning. Well I happened to have taken Nebo to work that day and out to that grass to potty several times. Not only that but I sat there in the grass with him for at least 15 minutes waiting for my ride home (my car is wrecked and being repaired). I remember him nosing around in the grass, trying to roll in it and he may have even eaten some. I've felt sick Thursday and Friday as well.
Oh I don't think I mentioned this before but you could actually see the stomach as being bigger/inflamed on the x-ray the vet said it was really bad.
My mom wants to try to get the company who sprayed it to pay the vet bills because you'd think they could put up some flags or something to warn people...but I have no idea if that's required by law so I doubt anything will come of that.
Anyway, Nebo's been on the I/D food from the vet and so far no vomiting.
Nebo, please feel better really soon.
Kisses to you cutie pie.
:)

Find out if they SHOULD have put up warning signs. Try calling:
* the local Health Department - a City or County agency, usually
* the "Utah Dept of Agriculture & Food" - they license some applicators
* last resort - call the State DEQ (Dept of Environmental Quality)
Second:
Find out WHO Sprayed the area -
prolly have to call the Mall's Management Company - your store's Landlord
Third:
Make a formal Complaint to either the "proper" regulatory agency from Step 1;
or direct to the Lawn or Pesticide Service identified in Step 2.
The BIGGER and more Nation-Wide the company is - the better the chance that
they might settle to keep you "quiet".
Nebo isn't the first pup to be sickened by sprayed-on Fertilizer / Weed & Pest
Control agents applied to lawns ...
and USUALLY they post a LOT of little signs all over the area they treated.
Be SURE to call the Vet and tell him what you suspect ...
They may want to do some additional testing.
Prayers that Nebo STAYS Better!

Did the tecnicians spraying the parking lot wear breathing gear and/or eye protection?
I don't know I didn't think to ask my boss that.Quote:

:( Poor Bebo boy! Sure am glad neither he nor you got any sicker! Good luck with the grass sprayers, around here commercially sprayed lawns get little flags, but the Park Dept. sprays at the dogpark (along the fence to kill everything) and they don't put up signs when they do it. I have complained, but nothing's come of it.) I think any company spraying near places where children or animals might be walking around should have to post it. Get better quick, dear Nebo & Amy!
I'm so sorry to see that Kebo has been so ill! Those DARNED chemicals .... they're killing us all!!!
Glad he's feeling better now, hope he continues to improve! ;)

How has Bebo been feeling now?
Certainly look into those chemicals. Did any customers report their dogs not feeling well, either? I'd imagine it's a law to put those signs up - especially near a pet store! Not only for pets, but for small children too.
I'm so sorry to hear that your boy was ill Amy. I hope today he is feeling much better.
Sending many hugs and kisses!
Love Anna :)
Poor Nebo. I'm glad it wasn't anything too serious.
