How cute!!! Let us know how it goes. :)
Any updates yet??
Yeahhh.. what's the scoop?! :D
Well, Sierra's been adopted. The pups were sleeping in kennels when we got there. We didn't really get to interact with them at all. They talked with us a lot and went over our application and will email us. Next weekend we are supposed to bring my stepdad and Autumn to visit.
Now for the people. I didn't like the people at all. I expect to evaluate a rescue group as much as they evaluate a potential adopter and they didn't seem real warmed up to people asking them questions. They asked why we have two different vets, and I said I am an adult and Autumn is my dog and I choose to go to the vet who charges less for office visits and such. They didn't seem too thrilled that I chose a cheaper vet. Autumn is vaccinated for rabies but not up to date on anything else so I don't know what they will say about that. They seem to act like vaccinations are the most important thing in the world. They didn't see how we could have two dogs on tie outs at once so we told them Autumn is yard trained and of course she never goes out alone, so they backed off a bit. They know we had two dogs before and must not have even thought of them being tied out together (we rarely ever use the tie outs). They didn't say anything about Sonny. If they expect me to bring him to visit they have another thing coming. I will tell them that they will be making a home visit if they want to see Sonny. He's 15 and terrified of cars and I'm not about to risk him having a heart attack and dying. Oh, they aren't altered yet like it says on petfinder, they said that petfinder just puts that down but I know I've seen dogs on petfinder that say "this pet is not altered" so I'm willing to bet that was the rescue groups mistake. Right now I'd say its anybodies guess as to whether we will get the pup.
Sorry things didn't go "quiet" as planned, but I hope you get to take Cricket home!! Good luck!!
