Snuggles isn't usually. people automatically think that a toy dog is a girl around here and that a large dog is a boy  Occasionally a kid will come up asking Can I pet him? I was with a friends maltese puppy holding the leash and someone came up saying can I pet the poodle? lol it was funny! :p :D
Oh my gosh that is hilarious!!!!! ROTFLOL! a chihuahua meowing!!! too funny!Quote:

Sometimes people thing my kitty is boy because she sprays on everything , and some people mistake Alaska for a girl because he has pink and blue on his collar, I don't think people have mistaken Georgia or Buddy before...
I voted sometimes. Its mostly with Shadow though, shes a big black dog, she must be male...even with her pink collar and leash !
Now our big white fluffy cat, Jasper, often gets mistaken for a girl all the time...because, ya know, big white cats area always female.
:rolleyes:You know gracie looks like a girl but beanie looks like a boy. hm I don't know how you could confuse them. Some people! :rolleyes:Quote:

Justin's mom always calls all of our pets boys, even Bitsy and she couldn't look any more feminine.
EVERYONE calls Sassy a "him". They say because she is skinny he's a him? I don't get that at all.

Jenny is the only one mistaken for a boy since she has a deep, loud bark. :p
Nebo is sometimes. I think people associate red huskies as being female (like from Balto I guess?). Many people think he's a malamute and he'd be a small malamute and therefore more likely female. I think he has quite a masculine look.
Sydney is almost always mistaken for a boy. The name can go either way and it seems that people believe all black dogs are male for some reason.
I don't recall anyone thinking Reggie was a girl.
Maggie is usually always referred to as a girl, which she is. I guess because she's small and when I take her out she gets to wear pretty collars and frilly girl stuff. :o Grant I suppose could be mistaken for a girl because of his bark but he looks like a boy to me and he has the ummm well....necessary equipment to be a boy. :D Sadie was called a "him" at the vet's the other day, gee wiz her name is Sadie, that's a really girl name so I don't know what their problem was. I always try and "see" if it's a male dog and if I still can't tell, then I ask the owner, I never like to assume either way since I don't appreciate it when other's assume the sex of my dogs. :)
