Gee, I really wish I could oblige you guys. Unfortunately, after dragging them around for almost 30 years, I threw them out. It wasn't until recently that I realized I tossed out pictures of me and my Dad. :(

We got married just this past October. We headed out to Jackson Hole, WY and got married at the visitor center overlooking the Elk Refuge. Like my wedding dress? :o I'm not a dress person, not even for my own wedding, hehe. Comfortable and casual for us. :)

You all might wonder why I'm responding to a thread about wedding pictures since I don't have any wedding pictures since I'm not married, and am not likely to be anytime soon....but I have this picture I thought you all might like to see. It's my Grandmother & Grandfather's wedding picture, taken in the early 1920's, 1921 I believe. My Grandmother is seated on the left, my Grandfather is seated on the right. I once asked Grandma who the other people were....and she couldn't remember! I said "They stood up for your wedding and you don't remember who they are?!?" She said "That was over 60 years ago, no I don't remember who they are!" and added a little hrmph at the end. ;) So, here they are, my paternal grandparents on their wedding day.

Grandpa was 20 years older than Grandma. Grandpa knew Grandma's parents because they were neighbor farmers. Then one day when my Grandma was 19 or so, she and her sister went to the County Fair (a BIG deal in those days). Grandpa and one of his friends was on the inside, Grandma and her sister were on the outside and didn't have any money to get in. Grandpa and his friend paid for them to get in and they ended up spending the rest of the day together. The next thing you know, he kicks his squaw out (really, he had a squaw living with him), marries her, and 7 kids and countless grandkids later, here I am! ;) Grandpa died when I was real young so I don't remember much about him. I believe he was 83 or so, which would have made my Grandma 63 at the time. She lived on her own - never even considered remarrying - until she was about 83, then moved to an assisted living place where she lived out her remaining years. She was active and relatively healthy until she died peacefully at home, unexpectedly, while she was sitting at her kitchen table cutting squares for another quilt. I'll never forget the day I took my Harley over for her to see. She was already in her early 80's, and the very first thing she did was throw her leg over the seat and pretend like she was going to take off! I about had a heart attack and tried to warn her about the hot pipes so she didn't burn herself. She was really something else. :)
Anyway, didn't mean to go on about them, just thought you guys would like seeing the picture. :)
Enjoyed that T&P.
