When I checked flights from Toledo to Cali - is was over a hundred bucks more!
:p
Oh wow, I only now saw this notice.:o
Smokey, Maggie & I would love to come. :D Smokey is a great
little traveler but Maggie gets a little bored on long rides. Maybe
she will just sleep.:) This should be a lot of fun.:D
p.s. I'll have to re-register for this year.
WOW!! Sounds like fun and I would love to come but I live down here in Florida, so I don't believe I'll be able to make it this time. :(
Our pack will be there! By the way, 1/2 the park is fenced off because they seeded and want the grass to grow a little--don't know how long it'll be that way, but they ran a hose over so there is still plenty of fresh water!
Too bad "grass growin season" isn't earlier in the year. :(Quote:

Did they do any Prep Work on the ground this time?
Like:
* TILL or Aerate the compacted areas BEFORE tossing the seed?
* ADD any topsoil to cover the compacted & LOW areas?
* COVER the seeds with mulch or hay?
I really HOPE there was more done to prepare the re-seed area
this year -
New Grass just won't grow in hard, dry, compacted dirt without a
LITTLE more help than they put forth last year.
But who are WE to complain? :(
..
:( no tillingQuote:

:( no aerating
:( no top soil
:( no hay
I called the Parks up, but the nice lady in the office had no idea when the whole park will be available. But you should see the grass on the "good side"! I'm pretty sure it'll get mowed before Memorial Day!
*edit* I should say that none of the above? :( is visible from this side of the fence--maybe we just can't see all the prep they did
When I eventually talk to Tim, I am going to ask him about the aeriating. They aeriated the entire Emory Adams park and since the machinery is hooked up, I would think that they should be able to do the dog park at the same time.
Donna, if you'd still like to go, you can hitch a ride down with me.
At the moment, it looks like it'll just be Kia and I. Andy has bachelor party duties. :D
