Good thoughts on the way for everyone {{Hugs}}.
My sister-in-law is a middle school teacher. She left at 5 this morning for Washington D.C. (14 hours by bus) with over 100 eighth graders. This is her 3rd year making the trip. They cram so much into just a few days. Pray for their safe travel and that the kids will learn a lot and be good representatives for their school.
I am still keeping all requests in my prayers!
I am going through a trying time right now, could you guys keep me in your prayers please? I don't really feel like going into it all, so I'll just request an unspoken. Thanks.

Maybe an all-expenses paid trip to the Phunnie Pharm!
;)
Good Luck, Teach!
Good thoughts going out to everyone one. {{{hugs}}}
Actually ... the kids do great. They just seem to sponge up everything they are seeing. For some of them it is their first time away from home. I think 108 or 118 kids going this year, 3 buses. Last year, the kids said their favorite thing was seeing the monuments lighted up at night. We will see what it is this year. She's got the Phunnie Pharm at home with our family ;) so maybe a few days away isn't a bad thing.Quote:

A dear friend's ex-husband went to the ER for a severe headache. They diagnosed him with head and neck cancer-stage 4. I just ask everyone to pray for him as there is nothing that can be done except radiation to try and shrink the tumors, they are inoperable. It does not look very promising. He has a 12-year-old son who adores him and he is going to need lots of prayers, prayers for comfort and understanding. Please keep them in your thoughts. Thank you.
I would like to make one...
I was fired in September from my job.
I am fighting to get it back thru my union and I have been going thru the
process with a union steward.
Basically My job was putting info into a system that tracks operations, for the longest time I had to wing it because we had no system administrator.
THere was no way I could run reports on the system so I could track my mistakes! THe last Sys Admin locked me out of the sytem after they fired him for being on disability and working with his father in construction.
When they hired a new sys admin and she had no experience in the medical field. That is where the problems began. She 'knew it all' and began to change everything. She disliked me because they would bypass her to get answers to questions that she should have known.
Anyway she started to track all my mistakes-when I asked her for a report to audit my work she denied me any kind of help ir access to reports so I could clean up the work. She told the big bosses that I didn't need to run any reports-and wasn't given the chance to fix any errors.
Long story short, I was fired because of my mistakes. Even after begging everyone for assistance. The big bosses took her word over my 17 years of experience and my constant requests for help.
I got a call from one of the ladies that worked with her and she told me that the EVIL sys admin was removed from that position! I suspect that her inability to be a team player came back to bite her!
So, now that things have changed I am hoping that this may be a sign...
I could use some good vibes? :D
Thanks PTers!
Of course, prayers on their way.

Yes, definite compensation for Richard, God!
Why not cast around for something better? I mean - what if your bosses listen to another silly upstart? Or do you think they've learned their lesson?
Prayers for you - and all here that need and want them.
Would the good folks of PT send some pawsitive thoughts (& maybe a prayer or two) our way the next few days?
The movers will be here on Friday to pack up our house, and I'm getting pretty anxious over how much is still on my "to do " list. Sherman is stressing out too, he's eating all kinds of non-edibles, and we really don't any emergency visits to the vets right now. He ate a tubes of freen and white paint, a bunch of styrofoam, & some plastic stuff yesterday (and boy did he have colorful poops!) He now out in the outdoor kennel for his own good. I will be very glad when the packings done!
Prayers going out for all your requests.

So many of you needing prayers, and I promise I will pray for each of you. May I add a request, too?
My sister is having surgery this morning and I wish I could head to Winston Salem to be with her. She has had nothing but problems since her hysterectomy and lymph node removal in January (she was diagnosed with endometrial cancer) and today they are going to do an incision to remove more lymph nodes and a cyst that formed from the last surgery, which was done laproscopically. My parents are going up this afternoon and will stay as long as she needs them to. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, you guys. She needs to feel better and be done with this. She expressed concern last night that the lymph nodes they are removing today might be cancerous and that's the first time she has said that. They had told her that the cancer was contained and they "got it all" when they did the hysterectomy, but apparently her surgeon is now doubting that. I hope they find that it is still ok and she can finally start to recover, fully. Enough is enough! This will be the 3rd time that she has had general anesthesia in 5 months, first the original surgery, then to put in a drain for the fluid that was collecting and not being absorbed. Today, once again, she is "under" and will have the incision that they avoided before. I am so worried about her. :(

My sister, Beth, is out of surgery and awake. I actually was able to speak with her for moment, around 1:15. She has pain, but they are going to treat that as soon as she can eat something.
Thank you for the prayers. They will meet with the oncologist/surgeon at 3 pm and hopefully will learn more then.

This family could use a prayer or two

Prayers are being offered for everyone here who has requested them.
Dear God, please keep Logan's sister close by You and help her heal and be well.
And may the Goddess of Justice visit Richard's life and straighten everything out for him.
Just thought I'd check this thread before heading on vacation and I wanted to let you all know you and your families are all in my prayers.
I'm sitting here bawling. I don't want to go into details, but please keep my grandfather in your thoughts.
to write; every username I see daily in here are on my thought list.
good wishes for everyone and hang in there.
I don't often reply to this thread but I just wanted to say that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. ((((Hugs))))
Asking for a prayer... or two.
One to help me completely heal from having my gallbladder out on 5/11. I am still in a great deal of pain, and nobody (dr's) can figure out WHY. Even after 4 days in the hospital and thousands of dollars in tests.
Another, because in January we found a small spot on a mammogram/ultrasound combo (4mm) and I had a follow up u/s this past week. The one tiny spot is now "a collection of lesions" and I have an appointment tomorrow to find out what my next step is. Cancer terrifies me, so I am praying it is not that.
Thanks,
Crystal
Prayers for Erik. :(
Prayers and good thoughts for Erik
alex the wonder dog is now 11. he's been having grand mal seizures since he was 13 months old, and as time has passed, he's had several hundred over the years. since last july his pattern has changed, and i know that the change is not for the good, in a away it's kind of hospice for dog situation, i will not do anything more invasive, his condition will never change, and will never improve. he is still the happiest when he is with me, has food and has managed to steal a kleenex to shred. and that is the way it is, and what i'm asking is that i can learn to accept this. thank you joyce
Prayers for everyone here who wants and needs them.
prayers for you Joyce and everyone else who asked.

He is doing better but still not himself. The last time this happened (10 years ago,) his doctor had changed his medicine, and my grandfather nearly died. In fact, his body was shutting down and he lost part of his foot as a result.
They are not going to release him until we say he is better. The way he is now, it's going to be a while until he's out.
Prayers for everyone. Kay, sending extra good vibes for your Grandpa, and (((hugs))) for you. I hope they can get everything back in balance for him soon.
Prayers on the way for ALL our family friends neighbors and pets.
Thanks.
I've been in a real bad funk over this and my job situation.
Sorry to hear about your Grandfather, Kay. :( I didn't see this earlier. I hope he will be ok! Has your job situation become worse now too?
I'm offering prayers to all those in need... and asking for prayers as well. I'm very frightened and down. I feel unable to get into details but the time is soon approaching that I will have to leave all that I know and love in my home.
I just can't decide what to do and I guess I officially quit?
It's either go back to work there, be completely miserable - but get any days off, any hours, etc. that I want. But still doing something that I hate.
OR
Find something I really love to do, risk never being able to get the days/hours that I want.
I always have this job to fall back on (not that I want to) but if worse comes to worse, my boss isn't going to say no to me.
It's just really stressful, especially since my dad is having to run my grandpa's business while he is in the hospital. So, I don't exactly have reliable transportation at the moment.
Why can't I just win the lottery and open up my own business? :p
Sorry for blabbing on...
{{HUGS}} Jess
(((Hugs}}} and prayers, Jess.
Prayers going out for your Grandfather, too, Kay. I am sure you will find the a job you enjoy you have a lot of talent, and then the hours won't really matter as much.
K9soul - oh, my prayers are going out to you!!!! Of course I don't know the details...but you mean you have to leave your pets? And - I forget - are you married?
I pray that things turn out the very best for you!
Kay - I hope your granpa is ok soon!
I'm going through a divorce.
