Chester had a silkie chicken for breakfast, and a quail and 2 duck feet for dinner :)
Dinner tonight was Turkey legs and some organ meat
I don't know what Bailey had for breakfast since hubby fed him really early. For dinner, he had...
2 Turkey Wings
1 Quail
3 Duck Feet
1 Egg
Sweet Potato
Bailey puked up his Quail at about 1:00 in the morning - it was the mast horrible smell EVER! Everything else stayed down but a couple pieces of sweet potato. Maybe the Quail was too rich? Or because it was a new meat that he hasn't had before? I don't know whether I should give him his other Quail. Anyone have any ideas as to why he would puke out the Quail?
pork hocks, beef kidney, meatballs, oatmeal, bok choy, gala apple
I really didn't know what to do with the pork hocks so i just chopped a little off the end of one and chopped up some beef kidney to go with it. She seemed to like it.
Jasper had a chicken drumstick, gizzard, and half of a liver for breakfast. Dinner will be ground turkey.
On the 25th everyone had a pig foot and Buck also had a lamb shank.
Yesterday everyone had beef brisket, and Buck also had a chicken quarter.
Today the girls had chicken liver, beef chunks, and canned mackeral. Mandy had three chicken feet and Nova and Luka had two.
Buck was having runny stool so I gave him a turkey neck and five chicken feet to try to firm him up some.
Yesterday the pups had rabbit and lamb for breakfast. I bought sirloin steak for myself for dinner but bought too much, so the pups had that for dinner. BOY they inhaled it fast!
Today they're getting buffalo and organs for breakfast, and tripe and meaty chicken bones for dinner.
Saturday morning:
beef
venison
Saturday night:
Beef
Chicken feet
egg
Sunday morning:
chicken quarters
beef liver
They went without dinner last night.
This morning they had chicken feet
Chester had pork and a can of tuna for breakfast, and he'll be having a turkey wing for dinner.
Buck had another turkey neck, Luka and Nova had a chicken quarter, and Mandy had a chunk of beef brisket.
Both dogs had some beef ribs toonight
They all had beef, an egg, and chicken liver today.
Last night was chicken backs, beef & chicken feet
This morning was beef tracheas & beef liver
Kaige & Nanook also had a chicken quarter
Today for dinner Tango had a chicken quarter and an egg..
Jasper had a beef rib for breakfast, along with pureed banana, squash, romaine lettuce, yogurt, and a splash of flax oil. When he pooped I realized that he's had too much bone recently (Hard "chalky" stools) so dinner is a boneless chicken breast and a little more squash.
Today they just had some TWO. :) Lazy day for me.
I bought a can of http://www.tripett.com/ - has anyone fed this? I'm unlucky in my search to find and actual butcher that would sell that type of stuff. :(
The pups had ground turkey (w/bone) for breakfast, and will be getting ground turkey, buffalo tripe and a bit of kale for dinner.
Kai had a can of that stuff a few years back when we got a sample. He inhaled it! It's nice and stinky for the dogs.. but costs a buttload!Quote:

Around here a can of that stuff is around $2-3.. but the local supplier sells it for .78 cents a pound!
Yeah, the place that I buy TWO and the Tripett from sells premade, but not tripe and stuff like that.
It is rare to find places like that where I am because we aren't close to many cattle farms.
Tonight Nebo had 1 cup Nature's variety venison formula and 1 cup Natural Balance venison formula.
Oddly enough, I bought the raw thinking he would really enjoy that better, as he generally hasn't liked kibble that much. And he did, at first. Now he's inhaling kibble as if it's the best food ever and 3 times he's turned his nose up at the raw. He has eventually eaten most of it, but it was more of "Aw mom do I have to?" and I had to feed Syd some of it to entice him. Some days he's eaten it fine though.....my dog is weird. I still have a lot left so I hope he doesn't completely stop eating it, as it wasn't cheap.
Bebo has always been a weirdo. :p That's why we love him.
Well it's cooked. I personally would not feed it because of that (along with the price). And I'm not too sure how I feel about the vegetable gum. I think if it didn't have the gum, I might be inclined to get it as a treat (if I couldn't find the real thing).Quote:

I buy mine from a supplier in Kentucky. She ships to the eastern US. If you're interested, then join her Yahoo! group and ask her to be placed on the waiting list. Prey4Pets
You can also buy it from GreenTripe.com. I know a lot of people get it from there and I considered it, but I decided against it because they are in California and the shipping would be too high.
Yeah, The only reason I bought it was as a treat, since many have said how much their dogs enjoy it. I only bought one small can so they can have a spoonful on their kibble for breakfast tomorrow. I know it's not necessary and that it's cooked. ;)
My mini american eskimo won't even touch raw stuff, and my vet said a raw diet would be unsafe for him, but I have no problem with people feeding their dogs a raw diet.
I feed 1/2 dry food and 1/2 wet food. For dry food we give him whatever looks good, he doesn't care. And for wet food we give him Natural choice.
Kaige had an afternoon snack yesterday, pork back ribs (VERY meaty & very on sale)
last nights dinner:
2 chicken quarters each
2 chicken feet
beef liver
This mornings breakfast:
Nanook, Raustyk & Kaige had:
pork back ribs
1 chicken quarter
Indy had:
1 chicken quarter
1 chicken foot
As I stated before we upped Kaige's food intake and he's doing great with it. He has already gained a little more weight, all muscle, that's all he ever gains. lol
Nanook however has not been doing too well, health wise (mentality wise he's still doing great). I didn't want to post anything until we saw the vet. He went yesterday to have some blood drawn, nothing is too off from what it was before, and it's not even too off from what it should be for a healthy younger dog but there are a few things that are off. Nothing that can be corrected at this stage though.
The cancers are literally sucking the life right out of him. He's been slowly getting skinnier & skinnier despite how much we feed him. The last week though it seems as if he's loosing weight more rapidly. So his food intake is increasing even more. I hope it helps him at least a little.
Does anyone have any experience in feeding something to an older dog with cancers to try to keep weight on him?
Sue I'm sorry to hear about Nanook. I'll be keeping him in my thoughts. I love that boy. :)
Nova had two turkey legs, Luka had one turkey leg, Buck had a goat ham, and Mandy wouldn't eat.
Aww, Nanook! =( You need to get better, buddy. I hope all of that yummy extra Raw helps you feel more like yourself.
I don't have any experience with that, at all. You definitely need to ask for advice on Rawdogs, and the Rawfed Yahoo group! I have read posts in both about feeding dogs with cancer. Hopefully they can give you some good advice!!!

Yesterday was an eventful day for Nova and Buck (and me) so they were fed more than the other two.
Everyone had 1 lb green tripe. Nova and Buck also had a can of mackeral each, and a lamb shank.
I'm not sure yet what I'm going to feed them today.
Today Buck had a whole rabbit and Luka and Nova had a half a rabbit. Mandy had lamb neck bones.
Today they're getting half of a Salmon.
