That was a day brightening update for sure! :D
That was a day brightening update for sure! :D
I am so happy to read this wonderful news!! :D :D
Actually, Boober is acting very aloof. (I call him Boober when he's being "male". LOL) He won't sleep w/us and I don't want her to sleep downstairs because I feel the need to check on her during the night and don't want to wake everyone else up. He could stop being a brat and sleep w/us but he won't. He's such a handsome boy, though, that we forgive him. ;)
She just scared the pie outa me! I went to vote and the workers were here doing their thing. I had all the Fur Posse in the basement except Pidge, or so I thought. I came home, went upstairs immediately to check on her and couldn't find her! I panicked because I put the baby gate up to keep her upstairs so that she wouldn't roam downstairs while I was gone. I looked everywhere, under beds, even in the third bedroom which is always closed. No Pidge. Then I turned and looked down the stairs and there she was looking up at me. That little 18 1/2 year old tortie managed to jump the baby gate! This just took a couple of years off my life. I had visions of her getting outdoors and the workers being so busy that they didn't notice. Good grief! Well, at least that tells me how well she's doing. Be still my beating heart.
Oh you must have been frantic!! I can just picture her looking up at you thinking "watcha lookin' for meowme?" The little stinker!;)
Pidgie decided to come downstairs and check out the action (yeah, real action; watching a movie) and her man Boo sat down next to her. Creamsicle is overseer. Specs is out of frame; Coco Puff and Yodie were in my office. For the most part, though, my Fur Posse came through for me again. They knew I needed comfort and they all gathered 'round. Specs has the most adorable way of sitting down next to me, then putting his "arm" around me, as if to say "It's gonna be ok, Mom". I wish I could get a pic of him doing that but I can't take it myself and he's a big chicken around other people. Anyhow, I thought you'd like to see that at least Pidgie Pie is doing aces! :)
I just now learned about the ordeal you and Pidgelet have been through. I'm glad that health has returned and that the world now looks brighter.
Somehow I missed these great updates on Miss Pidgelet!! I know you have been through the worst time with what happened with Buddy but I hope you will be able to take comfort in the amazing progress your girl Pidgie is making. It was so good to read that she is not only being a snugglebug but leaping tall buildings!! (okay, a baby gate and a work table, but that is so awesome!!!) She really has come so far in a very short time. Thank you for the update and please post more pics when you can! :) Your fur posse is such a content bunch, lounging on their microfleece blankets. Luxurious.
Mary, I'm so glad to hear that Pidge is doing so well and I hope that she continues to do so.:) It's great to have furkids to help make us feel better isn't it.:)
I'm so glad Pidgelet is continuing to do well that's just great. It's amazing how cats know when we are upset and they try to comfort us in anyway they can.
They really are special.
Dear Mary, this is all so touching. You and your cats all look after each other and care for each other so diligently and so lovingly and so well.
Yay! I'm so glad she is feeling all better now! Maybe too good if she's scaring mommy though! ;)
Non pet people don't seem to understand this, and they have no idea what they're missing. Our furry kids give love and comfort at just the right times.Quote:

How about a Pidge update? I'm going thru withdrawal!!!
Weeeeellll, she's just doing great! She's been coming downstairs quite often and hanging out w/the rest of the Fur Posse and, since I've been having work done on my house I've had to keep them all in the basement while the workers are here and she wants to be w/them rather than stay upstairs by herself all day. She's got lots of energy, her appetite is good, she's using the litterbox w/no problems whatsoever. When I administer her meds, I give her a few treats, Whisker Lickin's Tender Moments chicken flavor. Good grief, when she hears that bag rustling, she's like a kitten! She perks right up, does her little Pigeon coo and she gives me head bumpies as if to say "Hurry up, Mom. Those are my favorite!" So there ya have it. Thanx for asking, Ellie. :)
