Yup I was going to post that I heard from Lauren but I didn't get a chance to! They had a good trip!

We are probably going to be arriving quite late Saturday night, so those who are gathering for dinner should not count on us. But we will see you all at the park on Sunday!

Help please.:eek: A yellow picture of an engine came on in
my car after I stopped to top off the gas. The Toyota service
dept. closes at noon on Saturday, so I can't bring it in to check.

Anybody got any ideas? Do you think it would be safe to drive
to Ohio tomorrow. Geeze. :mad: I don't know what to check.

Just talked to Debbie and they were coming around Toledo going to meet them at 630 at the Cracker Barrell.

HI Liz,

Sometimes if you just put gas in your car and didn't get the gas cap on tight, the check engine light will come on. Try taking the gas cap off to release the pressure and putting in back on. That may be all that is needed.

She called phred re: your car and long story short, I'm the only one near a computer right now so here's my attempt to get ahold of ya. ;)

They suggested trying a Sears -- some of them have an automotive/mechanic department and are usually open until 9pm.

Or what about a Super Walmart? They should have an automotive/mechanic person to help and they're open until late. (no clue what time!)

My dad used to be a mechanic (way back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth), I don't know if he could walk you thru anything or not. If you'd like to try that, let me know and I'll send my phone number to ya.

Thanks guys.:) Finally found the owner's manual. It was in
my trunk.:rolleyes: Manual says for this indicator to "take car
to Toyota dealer".

I don't know if it will mess up my extended warrenty contract
if I take the car in somewhere else? I even used the google
search & found the tip on checking the gas cap. I checked it
several times. My car has never given me ANY problems at all
before & this is very fustrating.:mad: I really think maybe it has
something to do with filling up the tank. It's just a warning
light & not a red "stop right now" kind of light. I think I'll call my
son & see if he thinks it's ok to drive on the trip.

One of my best buds (friends) is off this weekend & I'm trying
to reach her to see if I can use her car or if she can drive us. Liz.

I'm thinking maybe it's o.k. to drive & just get it checked on Mon.

Well guys, it's a go....:D I've checked all fluids, car is running
o.k. , so I'm going to try it. Talked to my son. He said to just go
ahead on the trip & take a prepaid cell phone along. He thinks
it'll be o.k. to have it checked after I get back. :D

I've got the phone now so I'll call Phred's cell if I have a problem
they delays me. Anyone else that has a phone can pm me
their numbers as back up numbers. Thanks everyone, Hope to
