No picking up kitties? That's unthinkable! We'll send up those prayers right now so that at least he can lie on the bed and have the kitties all gather 'round and comfort and heal him.

On Tuesday I fly to Winnipeg to retrieve the vehicle that my ex drove off with at the beginning of September.
Everything has gone well - the ownership is back in my name, I have a buyer for the vehicle; the ex even had a landlord of his call me - this guy sells cars and the ex had told him about the spot I was in with the vehicle.
I am asking for prayers for the drive back. Weather forecasts look good - but it is a 15 hour haul. Will overnight with a cousin in Moose Jaw and having a pizza din din with Nicole on the way back the next day.
Prayers and good thoughts please for good weather and a safe drive home.
Thanks!
Sending prayers and good thoughts to all who need them.:love::love:
Phred ~ We didn't know they did surgery on weekends either! The surgery team is booked for a month or 2 so they agreed to work this weekend because Bobcat needs surgery ASAP or the nerve damage and muscle weakness could be permanent if they don't repair it now.
Thanks for all your prayers. I read them to Bobcat and he was very touched. We're heading out the door to the hospital. I'll start an update thread later.

Irene just called me, just before 10:50 MT.
She and another person are overnighting at the hospice; Greg, the priest I know, was to go up tomorrow.
He left about 20 minutes ago.
Joe is unconscious and unresponsive. He has been dying for a few weeks, of course, but this looks like the end.
He has been in a lot of pain the past several weeks; even Irene was wanting him to die so that the pain would be over for him, at the same time being torn up because he was going to die. That horrid mixed feeling.
I joined Irene at the hospice yesterday afternoon. Joe and I were out on the smoking deck waiting for Irene.
The breeze was chilly, but the fall sun was nice. Joe appeared to doze in his wheelchair, then opened his eyes and said, "That feels good." "The sun?" I asked. He nodded, and closed his eyes again, soaking it in.
Asking for prayers for Joe and Irene, and Karen who is with them too. Irene promised Joe that she would be there for him, as far as she could. And she kept her promise, even though she herself has put off surgery to treat something that has her in great pain.
Thanks, all.
ETA: Irene phoned me just after 3:30. Joe died peacefully at 3:05 am.
It's all right now, Joe.
May I ask one more, please?
My Aunt Lydia is in her early 70's. She smoked tons all her life til several years ago when cancer the size of a centimeter was removed from one lung. She was lucky, and has been off the smokes ever since.
She just had a checkup, and she has a carcinoma at the back of her bronchial tube in the lungs. I am hoping that since she has had regular post-cancer checkups that this was caught early enough that she can recover.
Thanks.
Update. Mary has had her first few doses of the new drug. So far it has left her extremely tired. I got an e-mail asking for friends to prepare family-friendly meals, freeze them and deliver with reheating instructions because she is not up to cooking for her family. I don't know yet if the chemo is working - I don't believe she has had any follow-up imaging studies yet. I'll keep you posted.
Thank you,
Elyse

Tori suddenly showed extreme pain - and was rushed to the ER.
By 3:30 AM Wednesday morning she was in Sir Jury for a serious bowel obstruction
AND a twisted artery. Bad pieces were removed, holes patched,
artery straightened, Zippur installed ... and the Healing has begun.
Need we suggest ...
Pet Talk Prayers are requested ... this is a *serious* situation that will
require a *serious* PT Prayer commitment from ALL the PT Critters
and their Hooomins. ~~~ *!, 2, 3 ... Let's all PRAY!*
Jack-a-Rooo & his Bi-Peds say THANKS!!
You can count on my prayers for immediately healing for Tori.
Any update on Tori, too? Prayers being said for all.
Karen, I checked Cyber-Sibes' blog. Would you accept a photo in lieu of an update?
