Raven is looking wonderful!! I hope she can overcome her seperation anxiety soon. *HUGS*
Oh Raven - you beautiful, happy, smiling, kissy dog you!!!
I guess its only natural for you to be a bit anxious after all you've been through sweetheart.
When I leave my two I set them "tasks" like hiding treats for them to find - that way me leaving them turns into a fun thing and most of the time they don't even notice I've gone :D I also leave a radio on.
Glad to hear the surgery apparently got the nasty cells out.
If leaving for a few hours, I give mine rawhide chips to munch on. Usually their stomachs over rule their separation anxieties. For the most part all I have to say is "pen-pen" to mine, and they run into their pen- waiting for their treats. ;)
You could try something similar to car training for the separation anxiety. Pretend that you are leaving. Exit out of the house for 20 seconds and then come back in and let puppy out of the kennel. Repeat a couple times a day. Then extend the length of departure to 1 min, 5 mins etc. If nothing else you get to visit the neighbors a lot. :D
How is Ms. Raven these days?? I keep looking for pics and updates. She's such a gorgeous girl!
Really, how are things lately? She sure looks like she's doing wonderful in her pictures. :)
Hi, Raven, Tasha and Tommy and I hope you are having lots of good times this June :)
Sorry I have not updated in awhile! Raven has been doing wonderfully, and she had her final recheck yesterday. She's been given the official all clear.. no more rechecks scheduled. Of course by now I felt we were going to be just fine, but it was another milestone to get the official word from Dr. Nielson. He hugged her and told her she was such a good baby and told her he loved her. She loves him too, gave him all kinds of kisses and wags :). I made a thread with some pictures of her I took this morning here:

and a couple I didn't post there.

My beautiful, courageous girl.
Thank you all again, so very very much. You were all right along with me as we went through this roller coaster of fear and hope. I will always remember.
There's that pretty girl. :) Go Raven. :D
Thank god Raven is OK! she's so gorgeous! :)
I'm so glad that Raven has come through this with flying colours. Of course, why wouldn't she with all those PT prayers flying all over the world. Please plant a big kiss on her forehead from me....from one cancer survivor to another!!! :)
Hey Rav, can I borrow your T-shirt?????? ;)
How could it be, that a woman you have never met, don't know too well, has a beautiful black lab, that you also have never met - jumps right into your heart and mind.
I am thrilled that the news is so great! Raven - you go girl - get those tennis balls and let me throw some for you.
You are such a beautiful girl.
:D :D :D :D
That smile of hers is contagious! That collar is so pretty on her.
I'm so happy for you & Raven, what a wonderful outcome to a long and uncertain trial. She's a real inspiration! (I've been thinking about you a lot while we figure out what's going on with Sherman. I keep thinking "No matter what it is, we'll be alright, too)
May God bless you both with many many many years of happiness and health. And, Lord willing, we'll be able to enjoy her on PT right along with you.
What great news!!! Congratulations, Raven!!!

Awesome news!! Yay Raven!
On April 20, 2007, Raven went in for the surgery that would be the difference between life and death for her. The next day when she came home after the surgery, the focus became watching and waiting to see if it would succeed in being curative, or if the cancer would come back. At first it was day by day, then week by week and soon month by month. Now she has reached the landmark where there is no more tracking of time, but just years of love and living ahead in the celebration of life, something she has taught me to do in a way I never did before. She is an inspiration and brings joy to my life in so many ways, and not a day goes by, a single one, when I do not remember how so many of you were along this journey with us, your prayers and support and help a miracle in itself.
I thought I would share some new photos of her here, and a simple video I made that just shows how happy she is all the time.

Thank you for looking, and thank you so very much for being there for us in our time of need.
Now this is what brings joy to my heart - and can you just feel the love?
Happy Anniversary Raven - you are beyond beautiful!
Nothing beats a happy ending! Love that girl. She is so pretty. I loved the video and the music was so fitting. I have to say she looks beautiful in that new collar too. She is so bouncy in the video. She makes me think of Tori. I know I told you that Raven and Tori would probably have a blast together but the more I think about it and after having Sammi here it is Sammi and Raven that would have a blast. They seem to have the same kind of energy and sweetness. Please give our little miracle girl a big hug from me.
Love ya, Raven! :)
oh Jess - those pix and video just make me smile!
I'm so happy she's so happy!
big hugs to you both! :D
Wow, quite a story! I just read through all 40 pages and have never seen this thread before today. Amazing and uplifting. I'm so happy for you that you have Raven with you, a year later and will have her for at least a dozen more!
My cat Tiger has been battling S.C.C. in his nasal passages since it was first discovered back in July and it has been a difficult time. But he, like Raven is a fighter and I think he will pull through too. Thank you so much for posting today because otherwise I would not have found this inspirational and wonderful thread. :)
p.s. Raven is absolutely beautiful!!
What a happy event to celebrate! One year already? WAHOO!
Raven is lovely.
:D "I'M A BELIEVER" TOO! :D (The song was just perfect!)
Happy Anniversary Raven & family! Thanks for sharing the JOY!
What a wonderful entry! Brings tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. I can't watch the video here at work because it's blocked but I'll be sure to see it on my days off. She is such a happy, beautiful dog. I'm glad she's given you so much joy.
Oh, Jess, thank you for sharing those lovely pictures and video of your beautiful girl. It is so good to see her so happy & healthy one year on.
Jess she looks wonderful. Happy anniversary Raven. :)
The pics of her are fantastic. She really is a special girl.
WHOO HOO RAVEN!!
Your little miracle story has got to be one of my favorites in all my experience with dogs :)
Great pictures, thank you so much for sharing!
Instead of a Cancer-vivor, we can say she's a Can-fur-reviver!
