Tonight we found out one of my husbands assistants lost their husband to a long battle with Cancer. Her name is Roxanne- please place her and her family and children in prayers tonight...
Would you all keep Kass(Russianblue) and Rob in your prayers? They lost Nakita yesterday, and I can only imagine their grief. :(

Prayers for you, Borzoimom...I hope you can at least get some personal counselling, through your doctor, or through a church if you have one (or even if you don't).
As Dear Abby always said, even if your other half won't get counselling, make sure you do.

PRAYERS and a miracle needed for 9-month-old Larissa. She has a 2 1/2 year old sister and two loving parents.
She was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour just a few days before Christmas. FINALLY they did operate, and removed as much as they could...she was back home the following day, and very much herself.
Then a specialist came in from the east...they decided to try chemo on the rest of the tumour...they put in the shunt, and little Larissa hemorrhaged.
It looks bleak. PLEASE pray for the family - the mom is from Colombia, and her aunt was flown up to be with her (the mom's mom died years ago, and she is very close to her aunt). Her husband's family is there...they are all just waiting.
Larissa needs a miracle...and I hope and pray the good Lord sees fit to give her one.
Thank you, PT people.
Dad went in for laprasopic surgery but his galblader was really inflamed from a chronic problem so he was the 1 out of 500 surgeries where the surgion had rto open him up and do it the old fashioned way so he'll be in the hospital a couple more days but we saw him after and he's doing fine.
He said it was really inflamed and something about calium around it so scaring or more stones forming in there or something but obviously he's had a problem for a long time to get that bad but because it was that bad he couldn't see for laprascopic.
and for the bone marrow test. The doc said no signs of cancer but the fact he has the protein means each year that goes by means there's a 1% chance per year that it'll turn to cancer. So I suppose if the lives another 25(he's 68) years that's a 25% chance it might turn by then but each year is just 1% chance so with his age and all not a real worry but they will check him ever 6 months or so, but just a blood test to see if the protein rises.
Poor Larissa, I will be praying for her & her family. I hope she gets her miracle, sweet baby.
I don't post here often, but I read every request, and ask that you may each receive your highest good.
Update. I'm sorry this is late. My co-worker's dad went into hospice last week Wednesday and died last week Friday morning. My co-worker was relieved that her dad was out of pain. She was out the first part of this week. We were glad to have her back and she said she was glad to be with us again.Quote:

Her whole family is glad (and I am too) because they don't have to search for a donor.
Could you guys add me in your prayers? They found something on my left breast last week with my Mammogram and I had new pictures taken today at the Doctors. They'll call me by Wednesday. They showed me what they saw and it scared me.I just hope it's nothing.Could be fatty tissues but I had them before and it didn't look the same.It still could be fatty tissues though.
But I will be greatfuil for any prayers.
These cats of mine really need me.
In prayers honey. ..
If its any consulation, during my situation, they found one in mine too- hormones took care of it.
Keep us posted- and in prayers for sure!
I never heard of hormones taking care of those but I've never had it hapopen before either. Thanks for your words. It does make me feel better.Plus any prayers.Thanks.
I'm praying for you also and everyone on this thread.I'm glad I'm on this thread because I read each post and pray for everyone in hopes that it helps.I hope it helps others.I'm all for helping others.
I guess that's why I have so many rescued cats. ;)
Update on Larissa: The tumour, even though some was removed, is a very aggressive tentacle-type in her brain.
I talked to Greg (my priest) yesterday, and he said she is going to die. She is aware, not unconscious, and responds to her family's voices.
Prayers, please - for a miracle (that's what it would take). Prayers for love and peace for the family, and for Greg, who has two daughters of his own. This has been very tough on him and his wife, Kathleen.
Prayers again for Larissa - that she can go in peace and innocence.
BTW - Greg also presided at a memorial service yesterday, where I did some music. He raised the question that many ask - 'where is God in all this' - and said that God was present through all us people that came to support the family.
If love is God, and vice versa - God is in this prayer thread.
Thank you.
conmtinuing to pray for all these requests...
Catty, that poor baby! There are probably angels standing nearby, ready to gather her into their arms. Such a short life.... I will keep her family, Greg's, and yours in my prayers. I love what Greg said.
Pray fo Cali she got spayed recently
Poor Larissa.I feel so sad for her and for the entire family.Prayers on the way.
prayers on the way! And Welcome!
Please pray for Sassy. I think the end is near... :(
Prayers on the way for Sassy .. As well as for you..
I'd like to ask for prayers for my almost 10 year old nephew, Jacob. He is having some behaivor issues in school and please pray that his parents can help him.
Prayers sent...
I had the same with my daughter- turned out she was too advanced and moved ( she was in first grade) Behavior problems are sometimes due to too MUCH intellegence and the need to be stimulated... hmmm...
Please spare a thought for me today.
I've had a sore throat since Christmas - nothing major but yesterday I developed a spectacular rash - legs, torso, arms, chest, even my toes itch!
Been to the doctor this morning who thinks it is probably an allergy but took a throat swab to rule out scarlet fever ( had it when I was 20 - no big deal). The rash is driving me mad :( Prayers for a speedy recovery would be much appreciated
Prayers on the way.. Keep us posted.
Feel bad for adding my request without saying that I will be thinking of everyone who has asked for prayers - especially when mine is so futile compared to the suffering of others
:) I wish to state a Prayer Now.. I Pray that all of the hate & disturbance on Pet Talk and thru out the world be submissive now.. Amen

Now I need some PT prayers. I'm going in for some minor surgery on Tues. morning. It's an outpatient procedure so I'll get to go home right away and I'll then be taking Wed. off for recovery time. Thanks in advance.:)
In prayers, and may you have a swift recovery.
I also pray for everyone.
I read each one.I have spent so much time reading each one and thought about them.My memory isn't great but I do pray each time and I really hope it works or helps.
I'm so happy for this thread for the believers of prayers.Even the non-belivers sometimes need this thread for insurance (Just in case)and that to me is great also.
I say a prayer every night for ALL the PTer's.I love everyone on this site.It doesn't matter if there are disagreements or even little arguments,I still think everyone is so wonderful on this website.Mostly because there is so much love inside everyone to care so much for others.Animals and Humans. There are different opinions and strong oppisites but everyone has a heart of gold here, either way.
:( Oh no Tracey && I hope you to be well soon.. Prayers && Huggss being sent.. Keep us posted..
Prayers on their way- ...
Tracey, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you will feel like giving us an update when you get home.
You are all in my prayers.
Prayers for you. Have you talked to a school counsellor about this? Please do, hon. At least someone else will know...keeping it a secret only makes it worse for you.
HUGS!
I'm sorry, Alyssa. Prayers on the way that peace is restored soon. I know what it's like to hear parents fight ~ it's very upsetting. Just try taking a walk with Sassy to calm you. :)
I think they are over it. Not sure though. Thanks guys. Catty1, I hate my school counselor I would never consider talking to her about my personal life.
{{{{hugs}}}} Just keep them in your thoughts for now, I still don't know if they are over it.
Okay...just talk to a trusted adult then. Favourite teacher, doctor?
I know they are over it, sweetheart - but it will probably happen again and you will be hurt again. Another adult can help stop it.
You know your situation best. But think about someone you trust for next time (as well as us here). :)
HUGS.
Prayers for jackmilliesmom- I know its a rough time honey, but you in prayers..
I do again... could you say a prayer for my supervisor, who has been having really bad backaches for maybe 3 or 4 weeks now. She saw the doctor yesterday, but I don't know what the outcome was. I've had back injuries twice (occupational hazard for nurses :) ), so I can relate to the frustration of never being truly pain-free.
Oh, by the way - dad was 4 months out from his heart surgery yesterday, he goes to cardiac rehab 3 times a week. He still can't walk very fast on the treadmill but he can walk for a little longer interval each time - his therapist bumps up the time on the treadmill by one minute or sometimes two. Yay!
Please keep my grandma in prayers - she is in the hospital.
Thank you.
