BAILEY'S IRISH CREAMQuote:

Slick, I just have to say you make the BEST crab dip and Bailey's Irish Cream EVER!!! I have to have those recipes!
In a big bowl, whiz up all the following ingredients until it gets nice and foamy. Then taste, then bottle. Does not have to age. Can be consumed right away.
1 mickey Rye (OK, your Americans call it a "fifth")
1 large whipping cream
1 small 1/2 & 1/2 or creamo
2 eggs
4 tblsp. chocolate syrup
1 1/2 tsp. coconut extract
2 tblsp. instant coffee
1 can sweetened condensed milk
This recipe may be doubled or tripled depending on the size of the bowl and the amount of consumption.......And of course, the amount of Rye may vary depending on taste......I always put a little extra in........
Makes three 26-oz bottles. Because it's made with dairy products, it only lasts about 3 weeks in the fridge. Unfortunately, it will have to be used up in that time........

HOT CRAB DIP:
Take one very menopausal woman and dip her into a cool pool of water  :D
Seriously:
Mix all together
1 cup of crab meat
1 cup of mayo
1 cup of grated cheddar cheese
1 cup of finely chopped onion
Heat up in a pan and put into a hollowed out loaf of sourdough bread.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
slick, you are AWSOME!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! :D
*bows at your feet*...I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy! LOL :p
Slick, what good news to read that you got home safely. I wish Zip would check in - but I betcha K'Cee and that Piper aren't leaving her alone for a minute.
I think I will echo Karen's chant "I am not worthy" "I am not worthy"..................you are one very dear lady and it was an absolute joy for me to meet you and now be able to call you friend.
And what was that you left on my bed? For shame.......you were my guest and it was an expensive trip for you to come to the BBQ.
I hope you, along with everyone will start your change jar and save up for next year. It was so much fun that I can hardly wait to do all of this again.
I am headed out to where? THE AIRPORT! Isn't that funny?
My brother comes in at 10:15 tonight.

The Cab Drivers are going to demand that you get a
Hack Driver's License and join the Union!
:p
Oh brother, just as my eyes dried up here they come again. I think I'll look up my local chapter of "SAPS ANONYMOUS". Thanks for your kind words.
Things I've learned from going to Gini's BBQ:
1. When in doubt, look in every kitchen cupboard and you'll find it.
2. Before pressing the flash button on the camera, take note of where it is pointing first.
3. Take more diapers than you think you need.
4. Just when you've thought you've laughed enough, along comes Mario.
5. When trying to avoid a moving chair, check to make sure there are no planters in the way of your fall.
6. When rubbing a dog's butt, be prepared for a committment of at least 1 hour.
7. When walking into the LA airport, no one cares if you have tail or not.
and the most important thing I learned:
Drink slushies SLOW!!
I challenge all other BBQ participants to post things they've learned from this experience.:)
Hmmmmmmm...Quote:

A few of these Lessinz Learned are a bit  ...
But I'd BET that your Fellow BBQerz will just
JUMP at the Opportunity to "explain" them to us!
:D .
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...e/f7b06019.jpg This might explain one of Slick's lessons.
Rusty could stand there all day and let you scritch his rump!
ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT! BREAK IT UP! I have been patient enough! Where in the heck are the pictures!? *taps foot*
After a delayed, turbulent(!) flight, I am home but NOT awake...
Let me tell you, K'Cee is NOT a vocal cat; RARELY purrs. After walking in with my suitcases, I sat down (on the bed) and got to hear my little sweety purr for the 4th or 5th time since I've had her.
Once my butt hit the bed, it was over; I fell asleep and just did wake up. I am utterly exhausted and have yet to eat lunch/supper. Unpack? Pfft, I'll do it tomorrow.
I have sooooo much to share about my trip and the WONDERFUL people I met, but right now I feel I can't do them justice. I will wait until tomorrow after work (work? what's that?) to tell stories/post pictures.
{{luv ya'll}}
PS Down here, I don't have an accent. ;)
Thank you God, everyone is home safely!
Where do you live, Tonya?
Zippy: I just opened my freezer to find the rest of the 100,000 bunny treats that I made and thought of you. I'm so glad you made it home OK. If you are still awake, please put the treats in the fridge so they don't spoil.
It's OK Gini. We are all looked after. :)
Slick..............what does it say under your name.............????? Below the pictures of your kids.
Is it what I think it is???????  :D

I'm glad that both Slick and Tonya have made it home safely.:D
I'm also looking forward to seeing more pictures since I didn't take very many.:)
I think we should all unite and protest this thing called "work." It just really interferes with all our fun! Now I can't even think of seeing more pics of the party until tomorrow since Zippy has to w*rk today. :(
When we went to the airport to pick up Slick, at the international terminal we couldn't find her. I turned around and saw this woman walking along with these huge black glasses and big nose. The best part was that she had a very long, thick tail she was flicking around.
I turned to Richard and said OMG, she wouldn't do that to us would she? Richard held up the sign that said SLICK...........and this lady with the big nose and tail starts waving at us.
She came over and slapped Richard with her tail and said HI RICHARD!!
This is Los Angeles - she didn't even get a funny stare from anyone...........:D :D http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...fc00.jpg.thumb
Good old Imagestation:mad:
Hee Hee
After all my joking on Pet Talk I can't believe that they would not expect something like that from me. I've got 12 pictures to take in order to use up my film so won't be posting any pics until the weekend.
Debbie and Naomi: I expect you to be there next year even if I have to drag you there myself.:)
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...c/f7b7fc00.jpg
OMG!!! That is tooo funny! I would have been in stiches! :D:D
Slick, not to worry, it's on the schedule and I will *definitely* be there! :D
Gini, you left the .thumb on the end.
7 pics left you say? Good! We need more pics of Max and Speckles so start clicking! :D
LOLOLOL!!!
<edit>
Debbie beat me! :p
You forgot to remove the .thumb ;)
Hahahaha! Slick, you're funny.
I've got such a crappy monitor that all I can see is a really dark picture with no images. :(
Anyway it was fun to do and NO I didn't get any funny looks. That's LA for ya!
Thanks everyone - even Randi tried to help me ................maybe I should just go ahead and have my hair dyed blonde and get it over with! (it would cover the grey).
Isn't Slick the funniest? Can you imagine? She is standing there flicking her tail and not one person seemed to care (except us)!
LOL - tell us more!:D
OMG!!!! LOL!!!! :D I knew Slick was funny........but THAT funny? Who could have imagined!?!Quote:

You really didn't get any funny looks? Are you serious? If I was there, I would have died laughing!!! :p I still can't believe you did that!
:D LOL! From what I've heard of LA, you may have been one of the most normal looking ones there, tail and all!!!Quote:

I would have been rolling on the floor laughing and everyone would have had to help me up!!! :D
Start saving your pennies MOFF. I want to see you there next year. Richard was talking about renting the Coliseum. Countdown: 360 days.
I just transferred some money into my savings for next year's trip.:) :)
Only 360 days??? Woohoo!!! ;)
Yep!! That's them! :DQuote:

In New Mexico but I live about 10 min away from the TX border, so I have a bit of a west Texas accent. (Which I didn't even know until Aly pointed it out to me last October!)Quote:

I don't think she said more than 46 words the whole time....
Of course, she did point out the Erotic Museum on Hollywood Blvd.
While we were driving around!!!
BTW,
I cleaned out my ash tray and came out with 6.24 cents in change....

8. Some men have better pedicures than I do.
9. There is no such thing as seasonal money.
10. There is no such thing as a size 39 ring. (Kelly might be the only one to get that! :o )
11. Open the screen door before you walk through (I did one that BEFORE I started drinking! )
12. Rascal snores. LOUDLY. :D
Is that kitchen clean yet? :D :D :D :D
Ok, I'll be patient!
Here is the majority of the digital photos.
I do have 2 rolls of "real" film that should be ready for pick up on Friday; they contain the Dizzyland pics.
Video? I'll see if there's anything appropriate. ;)
(A Pet Talkers Gone Wild video may be purchased for 3 easy installments of $19.95. All proceeds go to the Zippy-kat Tuition Fund. )
Anywho, the link to the pics:

#10 ha ha!! Too funny! :D
additions...
#13 When you combine Tonya, Slick, Kelly, Darvocet, Disneyland and a tattoo hut...scary things happen in the Tiki Room.
#14 Pet Talkers Gone Wild is safest in the "Dog House"  ;)
