Why did I eat all of the lemon cake yesterday...I want some now...
Why does everybody think the new supermarket chain is the bee's knees. I wasn't that impressed.
I'd like a new car. Actually, I'd just like to go car shopping and see all the newest models, but I really don't want to take on car payments right now.
Now that it has been 2 years since I had my own dirt, I just unsubscribed to the Michigan Bulb's email list. This is growing season, and it was getting a little too sad! But I have my purple basil seeds, thanks, Lady's Human, and will plant those as soon as I can pick up some "dirt cookies" to start them in! I have decided the landing in back of the apartment might get enough sun to grow something in a pot, and it is public space, so hopefully it will work out okay! The stairs are rarely if ever used, so should be undisturbed!
I have a Physics exam in the morning and I'm surfing the internet in the middle of the night! >__< Terrible, terrible of me!
Why is it then when you go shopping for a particular item of clothing, you can find everything but what you had in mind and are looking for. And then at a later date you see exactly what you were looking for, but now don't want it or need it???? Exasperating!!!!!
Really?! http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/sh...y-emoticon.gif Which university is it?! I NEED THAT KIND OF A BREAK! :p
Thanks phesina and yes, thank God, the paper went well! :D yay!
HOORAY!!! We knew it would!
Well done, Sana!
:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
I am very thankful for all the terrific people, cats, dogs and pets of Pet Talk!
So am I! Thanks for the post, Elyse!
:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
Some-kitty just walked across my keyboard ... first time ever! This is what she "typed" 1pppppppppppppppppppp;;;q-
Whoo! Summer break! :D I'm a free bird!!!
Hah! Thanks and I guess I won't be going anywhere, but, yeah, I have some other plans :p Well, more like my mom has plans for me ;) Housework. Hah! I really need to learn how to cook proper food, so, that's a goal I (or Mom :P ) plan(s) to achieve in these vacations. And yes, I plan to spend a huge amount of time with my new pups :D Yessh!! I'll try starting a thread about them once I snap a couple of photos. (They don't live with me, so, I can't do that whenever I want to... :( )
I hope to gobble up the motherload of books that I had planned to read :P and continue cross stitching and of course...decide what I want to do in the future...which may take up half of my summer break, since I have seriously no idea which field to choose, but I'm glad I've narrowed my choices down to five :P
But, I doubt I'll be going anywhere (like a vacation thing, yeah.) My brother's engagement party will probably be in this month, and then there will be all the preparations and all, and then my school's having summer classes thing, and I plan to attend them since my friends are planning to attend them as well :D
Do have fun learning to cook "proper food," that's an important skill no matter your gender or age! And enjoy you reading, that was always one of my favorite summertime things to do - a good book, a nice spot under a shade tree, and a glass of lemonade ... perfect!
How many years of school do you have left before college?
Now I feel like drinking lemonade, Karen :p Will try having fun, thanks ;)
It depends on what I choose to do now. I can either study two more years and then go to college, or go straight to college, by doing Fine Arts. It's quite different here since we don't have high schools or middle schools etc. If I do FSc (Faculty of Science) or A Levels (GCSE, since IGCSE isn't common here.) I'll have to study two more years, and then I can go to some university, too.
So, I'm pretty confused right now :o
Wednesday, June 4 is Hug Your Cat Day!
http://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/hug-your-cat-day/
I had a skin tag frozen off of my armpit yesterday, and forgot about that this morning when I went to put on deodorant. OW OW OW OW OW OW OW. It certainly woke me up!
I saw this in Smokey the Elder's signature and it gave me a huge smile! "Not my circus, not my monkeys!"-Polish proverb
Nie mój cyrk, nie moje małpy It's not my problem. I say this to myself at least once a day, mostly at work. Otherwise I would get tangled up in trying to sort out things I can't change. Not my circus, not my monkey. I'm Polish on my dad's side, too :)
Sigh. As a pale white person who burns at the drop of a hat, it should not surprise me that my arms are kinda itchy. I stood chatting in the sun for maybe 10-15 minutes tops Sunday after church, and got a mild sunburn for my trouble. Sigh. I tried to stay in the shade most of time, I really did!
And people marvel that summer is not my favorite season?
Pale? Pale implies pigment. You're damned near transparent!
Get one issue resolved and another pops up.
Now what to do with a very, very stupid bunny?
He sits there staring at you, unless Angel is with us.
Why you use the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.......of course.
From The Book of Armaments 2:9-21
Brother: "And the Lord spake, saying, First shalt
thou take out the Holy Pin.
Then, shalt thou count to three, no more,
no less.
Three shalt be the number thou shalt
count, and the number of the counting
shalt be three.
Four shalt thou not count,
nor either count thou two, excepting that
thou then proceed to three.
Five is right out.
Once the number three,
being the third number, be reached, then
lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of
Antioch towards thy foe, who being
naughty in my sight, shall snuf it."
Maynard: Amen.
All: Amen.
Arthur: Right! One. . . two. . . five!
THREE sir!
Somehow I don't think a legitimate court summons would be emailed to me.....
I was just reading (and laughing) thru some old threads. So much FUNNY by so many people, now long gone from here. What a shame!! Too bad we can't somehow bring back the people and the fun that used to go on here. :(
I didn't mean people that have gone to "the great beyond" - but rather people that have gone elsewhere and to social media sites. Unfortunately, I haven't observed any of them saying anything about wanting to return here. And I still don't see the attraction of FB and other "places of drama".............:(
PT friends in the U.S., I received a phone call from this scam. It was just as this press release described it. I was stupid enough to call back to the toll-free number on my caller ID. It was a very scary phone call because of the information the caller claimed to have about me and the formality of the language she quoted. I was a little suspicious when she said she was from the "Internal Revenue Services" and also when she demanded immediate payment under threat of arrest. The village police were just here and told me they would have been notified in advance if a federal agent had a valid reason to arrest me. They referred me to the IRS Web site, which in turn referred me to the Inspector General's Web site. So please be careful if you get such a call. If you have both a land line and a cell phone, please use the other one to call the police while you keep the scammer on the line.
Thank you,
Elyse

Edited to add, I don't always agree with all of the ways the government uses my tax money, but I think this Web site and information is a good one. The village police officers told me that another person was asked for way more money than I was, and did pay it to the scammer.
