Please Winnie, come home!!! All your PT friends love you!!!
Winnie - time to come home now - you have everyone worried.
I am just sick. Still no sign of her and it stopped raining earlier. This is so unlike her. :(
I am worried too. I keep coming back to check this thread hoping to hear that she has returned.
I am off to light some candles!
Did you try going where she can hear you calling? If the dog is gone
maybe she will show up. I know you must be worried by now. Prayers
that Winnie shows up soon.
Yes, I walked all around the yard and to the alley and up and down it and the street too, just in case she was hit by a car. No sign of her.
I'm wondering if she took off with the orange cat that I think is Angel's dad. He was in the yard last night and she didn't chase him off like she usually does.
Supper time now and still no sign of her. Maybe she will be home by morning. She has to be getting hungry. :(
Well, when Grandma was spayed, she was still an outdoor cat. She spent 3 days in a tree because the guys were, um, willing, and she wasn't.
Winnie's been gone about 24 hours now that I can figure. She was here at supper time yesterday but when I took it out, she wasn't around. I left it out and checked about 10 minutes later and it was completely gone. I'm sure the dog got it. Winnie never eats that much that fast.
Well, all I can do now is trust God and her Angels to keep her safe and bring her back if she is meant to be part of this family. :(
My heart sank when I saw your update about Winnie :( Is there any sign of her yet? Any chance that she might be in the shed since it's a familiar place to her? Have you considered taking Angel with you when you look for her outside? Maybe mommy Winnie would respond to Angel's meows.
Prayers are being prayed that Winnie will be back by the time you see this. A candle just might help too.
Gary - Can you contact the angel's top notch search team? If anyone can find Winnie and lead her home safely, they can!
No, sign yet. I'll check every time I get up during the night. The shed has been shut and locked since Angel moved inside the house. There is no way Winnie could be in there.
I don't want to risk taking Angel outside. She squirms so bad, I could drop her. She would run off for sure and I couldn't catch her.
:( Prayers that Winnie is home soon!
Lut (Maya and Inka's mommy) had great luck with a pet psychic on our list...Brody's Mum.
Might be worth PM'ing her! Anything she charges goes to help animals...and if you are short on funds I can help a bit. I think she charges $25.00...US or CDN I am not sure.
Oh MOFF, this is such sad news. :( Come on Winnie - you'd better show your silly face soon othewise I'm liable to hop on a plane and join the search. Prayers come out to you.
Oh I hate to hear this! No sleep for you tonight, I'm sure. We'll turn up the volume on the prayers that Winnie will come back quickly, easily and in peace. Keep the faythe.
Dear Winnie,
Get home now!!!
Edwina
I'm so sorry to hear that Winnie is missing.:( Please come home Winnie. We all miss you. I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
I don't know how I missed this yesterday - OH Winnie, please come back! :( You've got everyone worried, and I know you CAN take care of yourself, but you don't HAVE to, sweetie!
Any news?
Sometimes I don't turn on my 'puter in the morning but today I just had to check for good news - or lack thereof.
Winnie....listen to your natal sister Edwina.....get your furry little arse home now!!!!
Sadly, still no Winnie. I went looking for her last night with no luck. And I looked down every street this morning when the bus took me and Angel to the vet. I'm fairly sure she has not been hit by a car or at least, not in the neighborhood if so. :( I have a feeling she is gone.
I mentioned it to the vet this morning. She said Winnie could still come home. That sometimes cats take off after they have been spayed for some reason. If not, try to remember I did everything I could for her. It still hurts though. :(
Oh, a happier note, Miss Angel charmed them all at the vets again. She has gained almost an entire pound, again. She weighed 1.4 oz last time. Now she weighes 2.2. She wasn't happy when they stuck the cotton swab you know where to check for worms. They wanted to make sure they got them all when they treated her for them. She goes back next month for her "big girl" shots. :)
Lilac came to eat this morning. All the cats outside have been having lots of thick fur this year BUT unless I'm very much mistaken, she is now expecting.
I'll feed her but I don't want to get involved with more babies. :(
Darn you Miss Winnie - it isn't nice to scare all of us this way. I don't care if Halloween is right around the corner - you get your self home!
What good news about Angel - growing up to be quite the young lady aren't you?
I have the curtain open so I can see out if Winnie should come home. Meantime, to cheer us all up, here are pics I just took of Angel. She has Chester trapped in the cat carrier. :)
What you donin' in there?

Chester says: Go away, Kid! Ya bother me!!! :)

Oh Moff, I know how worried you must be - I hope Winnie will show up very soon! You would think she is getting hungry. Do you think any of the other strays are scaring her?
I'm sending lots of positive thoughts she'll be back home soon.
I know it sounds terrible- but could you put Angel outside for some time in a carrier to lure Winnie in?
It doesn't sound terrible, the thought crossed my mind, too!
I doubt that would work. we were outside for quite a while this morning waiting for the bus. I think Winnie is too far away to hear her or me call. I even walked all over the block calling last night.
That's what I'm wondering too. When I think about it, she hadn't been staying that close around here lately. I always check on her when I get up at night. She usually sleeps on that old table on an old towel. She hasn't for about 5 nights. But she always came for breakfast. Then stayed around most of the day.
Wednesday night, she was here for supper. I checked her tummy and told her she was all healed up. The lump was just a tiny bump and the stitches were all gone. I told her I loved her and to stay out of the street. Then came inside to get her supper. When I went back outside a few minutes later she was not there.
I left her supper and checked in about 10 minutes. Even the plate was licked clean. That's when I knew there was a dog around. Winnie never eats that much. Then the next morning, there was dog prints all over the porch. BIG dog prints.
I was right there in the kitchan and if the dog had attacked Winnie, I would have heard it. There was no noise at all. Just like she was sucked up by a ufo or something. It's just so odd she disappeared the night she was "officially" dubbed healed from her surgery.
I've been checking in on and off during the day hoping for good news about Winnie. St. Francis is the patron saint of animals and I've been talking to him a lot since first hearing this sad news.
Winnie, please come home. Don't be afraid, sweetie, you're not in any trouble. Meowmie, your baby Angel, and all of us here at PT want you back safe and sound. Come back to where you're safe and loved!!!
I'm saying prayers for Dear Winnie's safe return. C'mon girl, we all miss you. Come Home!!
2:19 am here. Still no Winnie :(
More prayers, Please come home, Winnie cat!
Have you gone to the local pound/shelter/SPCA and looked for her?
Maybe an animal control officer picked her up and they have her there awaiting adoption.
If you go, take some photos of her. Fill out a lost pet form. Ask to review the found cat forms. Also search the DOA file. :( Look in every cage in every room of the building. Even the infirmary/clinic.
Our pound doesn't take in cats. The control officer won't even try and pick them up. That's how I got Winnie in the first place. When the family abandoned her and the two dogs, they took the dogs but left her loose.
I just talked to my neighbor, Mary. She hasn't seen Winnie either but will keep an eye out for her. She said there was one night when two dogs had her trapped under my old car but she got away and ran off. She came back after that though.
I walked down the alley, checking the dog neighbor's yard, just in case she was laying there. She must have gotten frightened Wednesday night and ran so far away, she got lost. :(
Moff - cats are so funny. If they have been badly frightened, they can stay in one place for a long time. My first cat had crawled into my old stereo cabinet when I first moved into a new apartment. I thought he had escaped the apartment. Turns out he was in there for over two weeks. I about died one morning when out he came - brazenly asking to be fed.
Is it possible Winnie is up inside the underpart of your car - and the dogs have frightened her? Maybe put some food under the car and see what happens. (far enough so that a dog couldn't reach it.)
Just grasping for straws here.
Winnie, please come home. I am just seeing this and saddened by this news. You are worrying us all. I will send prayers up that you will come home or that you are at a safe place and being taken good care of. We miss you!!
Well, I know my Momma Kitty went missing for three days & I really
began to feel she was gone for good. I still called her every day and
one day she just turned up. She came walking down the alley to me like
she had never left.
I hope Winnie is somewhere safe & content.I'm glad that your neighbor
lady is checking for Winnie too.:)
Like Gini, I'm grasping at straws here. I just saw a piece in the paper about an orangie that was hiding in the engine compartment of a car. The owner had no idea the cat was there and drove 2 miles until another driver saw the cat's tail and paw then alerted the driver. (kitty is doing well resting in a shelter). Could Winnie have crawled up inside your old car and be hiding or stuck under the hood? Are there any abandoned buildings around your area? If so, maybe Winnie is in there hiding and too scared to come out. Since she was abandoned by her former owner, could she have gone back to her previous home?
My prayers continue for Winnie's swift and safe return. [[[[[HUGS]]]]] being sent for you
I thought about the car motor too. I went and checked. I can't get the hood up any more but I did call and there is no answer. I go out that way several times a day and have called and listened for her with no answer. It's not like her to be afraid of any dog. She's chased dobermans out of the yard before.
The house she used to live in is right beside mine. Only a few feet away. It's shut up with no way for her to get inside. As for old buildings, our entire town is littered with them. Cats go down into the sewers sometimes too.
One thing that tells me Winnie is not on the property is Lilac. She had beat Lilac up so often, she won't come near the place if Winnie is any where near here. Believe me she keeps looking around for her.
She will just have to come back on her own. I'm at my wits end. :(
