A strawberry social sounds like a very nice way to spend a Saturday in June!

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin42.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin44.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin45.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin46.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin47.jpgHeidi waiting to get up this morning and on her walk this morning.She greeted Mom in the living room after going out side,then got down and waited for me to finish my cereal,she got up and sat with me then looked outside,had a play of fetch with her toys.Heidi then was looking at me to go for a walk so we didn't see any dogs on the walk,though she saw a Squirrel go up a tree and wanted to go after it.She stayed down here and napped and played,Mom went uptown to a Pancake breakfast with Phyllis McRobbie,the 93 year old lady I do grass for on Mondays.I gave her Iams bones as a treat between breakfast and supper,and some water, snoozed a bit and played.I gave her supper,then I had mine which were Chicken Nuggets and Rice,Mom was going to the Strawberry Social with some church ladies including Madlyn Wilcox,she goes to our church and is 86 and it was her today,she called Mom tonight and was in treats thanking Mom for taking her out.Heidi had a couple of more plays with her toys,had a blitz around the rec room,has snooze near me ,now up with mom,has snorted,is cuddled beside Mom in her chair.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin43.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin32.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin33.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/.../heidilab1.jpgHeidi waiting to get up this morning,on her walk after church and near the end of it kissing a neighbor's Chocolate Lab.Heidi greeted Mom in the living room by jumping in her chair then got down and rolled around the carpet ,growling.She got up in the chair with me and sat beside me,after a few minutes had a play of fetch then took her downstairs ,Mom and I were changing bedsheets.Once down here,she sat and played with toys then snoozed.I put her outside ,was getting ready for church,we had a ceremony for our church secretary Betty Ball who is retiring after 41 years so we need a new secretary or Office Administrator.After getting home,took Heidi for her walk, we got near where Buddy,the German Shepherd lives and he started barking,hadn't seen Heidi.We were almost home where we met the Chocolate Lab,it was on a leash it came near the road and Heidi went to the dog and stood up and kissed the dog's face,the Lab didn't seem to mind.Heidi had her supper before ours,we had Hamburgers.She had a play of fetch down here after.We had an other play not long ago,she had been outside,Mom went up for a visit at Larry and Marlene's,not a good weekend at the cottage,it rained one day and their Satellite dish wasn't working so no TV.Heidi now having a rest behind me,played out for now.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin44.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin34.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin35.jpgHeidi waiting to get out of bed this morning and on her walk.After coming in,she went to both sides of Mom's bed and got her up.After this,she had a roll around the carpet ,growling,then got up with me and then looked to see if anyone was walking by.She had a bit of the play,she really wanted to go on a walk,so I asked her and we went.She saw a Labradoodle being walked on the other side of the street,the gentleman said Hi.Heidi stops and sniffs at almost every tree or pole,wanted to meet a girl who was going to school,moved out of the way,kids don't have time to greet little dogs.Heidi had a drink when we got back,I went and did 1 lawn,came back and had a bit of a rest,I looked in the front door,Heidi was with Mom and she saw me and came to the door,tail was going,she misses when I am out.I ended up doing another lawn,the neighbor across the street wanted his done so did that.Heidi was happy,when I was finished,she came down here with me,had a snooze,I gave her a couple of Iams bones,she had her supper before me.After supper,had plays of fetch,not long ago,had more plays of fetch,had her water and bones,barks for me to fill the dish,did that twice,has been with Mom,has bit her slippers,is now snoozing behind the chair.

Miss Heidi! I love your fluffy tail in the picture where you are greeting the neighbor's dog!

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...irelaxer11.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin45.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin36.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin37.jpgHeidi Monday night flipped over on her side,waiting to get up this morning and on her walk.After being out,she went to Mom and jumped up with her then on the carpet and rolled around and growled.After I had cereal,she got up with me and looked outside,saw a lady walking by,Heidi's tail was going.We then had a play of fetch with the rubber bone then she was up and down out of the chair,she was bugging to go for a walk,this between 7 and 7:30 so I took her she had a good walk,did not meet any dogs.She came home and she had a drink of water,I got ready to go Marlene's cut the lawn and I pruned the 3 Spruce Trees out back,this took until after 2 this afternoon,I started just before 9 in the morning so it was a long day,filled 16 big paper bags,I ran out of them,so will finish it when I am there next Tuesday.Heidi was down here by herself for a few hours,Mom went out to lunch with a friend while I was up at Marlene's ,she went to the concert in the park in Newcastle from 6:30 to 8:30 then the ladies are going to Tim Horton's for cookies.Mom bought Heidi a new squeaky,has been playing with since she got it,she is now at my feet,resting.

Hi, Heidi, cutie! Sounds like a good day-- you took a walk, you got a new squeaky toy, and you had some down-time :) Happy Canada Day a little early, Heidi, Barry and Mom!

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin47.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin41.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin48.jpgHeidi waiting to get up this morning and on her walk around the block.Mom was already up today so Heidi didn't get to greet her in the bedroom.Heidi had a roll on the carpet and growled and barked.She sat up with me after breakfast,had a play of fetch with her,was in the chair again,she was bugging me for a walk,this was at quarter after 7 so took her,uneventful again,no dogs to meet up with.It was a little early to cut grass,so had a rest before going,put Heidi downstairs,Mom went to get her hairdone.I had two to do today,I had Heidi down here after coming home,played a little then she snoozed some,had a couple if Iams bones.We went out ,I had to go to the bank,the we went to the cemetery to put flowers at Dad's stone,it would have been their 61st Anniversary tomorrow.We played fetch more before supper and after,stayed with Mom when I went to get cleaned up,had her bones tonight and water,now under my chair.Marlene took Brandyn and Samantha to the cottage yesterday,Larry probably going up tomorrow and so is Shannon.

Uhoh. anything rawhide can easily backfire on Kirby so i know how that goes. LOL
she looks tiny around the Chocolate Labrador :D

Looks like Heidi's Friday was grand! (except for the mishap in the hallway- but I bet you've already been forgiven :love:) How nice to see the sun; it was grey and overcast most of the day here.

I'm glad you had a good anniversary day, Barry and Mom-- my mom and dad had their 60th in September 2010. Thinking of you today.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...irelaxer15.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...irelaxer16.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwaitin53.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin59.jpg http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/...diwalkin60.jpg Heidi snoozing down here Monday morning ,waiting to get up this morning and on her walk this morning.Heidi greeted mom in the living room then went after toys.After this,a roll on the carpet , growling and barking.After breakfast,I took her on a walk,she saw a dog on its property,the dog barked at her.We had our windows cleaned today,Heidi was down here while it was being done upstairs,then upstairs while windows were cleaned down here.She had her Iams bones,she was up with mom this afternoon,mom was watching a funeral for a police officer who was run over and killed during a traffic stop last week by a 15 year old boy North of Toronto near Newmarket,Ontario.Police from all over North America were there,his widow,spoke at the service,he leaves behind a 2 year old girl and a 10 week old son,Mom was feeling a bit blue,Heidi kept her company.Heidi had her supper,we had ours after the funeral,we had Mary Brown's Chicken and Potato Salad and Coleslaw.We had a play of fetch with her toys,she jumps the bed to go after it,once she came without a toy,I asked where is the toy,bring me a toy,so she goes and gets it,she is very smart and understands what you tell her.mom went to a concert in the park in Newcastle with friends from church,she has had her Iams bones and water,asked for more water,now snoozing behind me,getting a bit of rain tomorrow morning.
