Yeah, no one mentions my poor neck.
P.S. As much as I try, my affliction (brain damage) will never change! ;)

Actually Logan, I think I remember once, several years ago now, that they honest and truly did agree on something - I think it was even something relevent  Of course it threw Pet Talk on it's butt for awhile and people thought we were being invaded by Martians I think :D ;)

You do have to admit that it was pretty brave of Richard to allow Sara to hold a knife at his throat. Why, he even looks as though he is enjoying it!!
Hmmmmm................. :D :D
Now that I'm home and have had time to rethink this conversation with the fireman - I recall him saying that several dog trainers have been to work with Wilshire annnddd evenQuote:

They have only Wilshire for about 2 months now so it might be next season before it is even aired. But wouldn't THAT be cool to see!
Staci, because I wasn't the one drooling all over Capt. Finn's leg - we talked a bit more about Wilshire.Quote:

omg!
are you ok?
is the office ok?
your house?
the roof?
after Gini's last post I don't even know what to say -
:( posting my pics seems inappropriate.

Staci, of course, post your pictures.
The damage? I don't know yet. I really am still shaking although I called the tree surgeon and my insurance company.
But I don't think I want to go into the back door quite yet. The main branch is just hanging there and could give way at any time.
It breaks my heart, because I dearly love this tree.
But we had fun and should concentrate on that fun - and my intense gratitude that this didn't happen last Saturday - or anytime while all of you were here.
I'm so sorry about your tree, Gini. :( I do hope that your house didn't suffer any damage, though. I know you have had more than your share, lately.
Logan
At this point it's just property damage and, regrettably, damage to a great old tree. No one got hurt and we didn't even know there was that possibility during the BBQ so no harm was done.
I agree with Randy.....I am a certified tree hugger and you have a wonderful, wonderful tree....
but...to play the Glad Game.....
Let's be glad it didn't fall on anyone and let's hope you still have lots of great shade in your fabulous backyard and the limb that fell will be wood for the fireplace this winter and.....
why is it I don't agree with RICHARD???? Why is it never RICHARD never agrees with me?????
Anyone have any "Before" pictures of said tree?
Oh my goodness, Gini!!! Wow, they say timing is everything and this just proves that point once again! The only thing I can think of is if it happened when everyone was there, just think of the help you would have had cleaning it up. ;) I only say that because, of course, there is no way anyone could get hurt while at a California BBQ. It's just not allowed. Pants can get wine spilled on them, but no bodily injury is allowed to happen.
However, this is bad timing when thinking about the insurance. I'm sure your insurance company took a hit last year with your flood, and after this they may not like you very much. :( Funny, you pay them for years and years without a single minor claim..... Here's hoping the damage is minor and the main branch decides to hang on until the tree guys get there and cut it down safely.
That's right, in 2005, I even fell off the steps and the fire dept came to my rescue but I didn't get hurt! :pQuote:

I'm so glad that you were OK, first. I was so worried when I got Staci's text....but relieved when I spoke with you...especially that 2nd time after talking to my mom. :)
Now, hopefully the tree will only lose that one part...no more.
Hugs, Kelly :)
Oh Richard- great minds think alike. Look what I answered in the other thread before I saw this one :DQuote:

Stace, haven't had time to check all the pictures out but the ones I've seen - maaaahvelous my dear  Love the ones of the flowers in Gini's yard... and so very fitting for a beautiful flower of a woman
Before:
while this pales in comparison to what happened in Gini's yard - Keegan had some excitement while I was gone I wanted everyone to know about my HERO!

I just went through every picture in everyones album and am struck by many impressions! BUT, the first one I kept coming back to was.... ZIPSTER! You look like a movie star  My goodness you get prettier every time I see you and I surely hope I see you again real soon ~ all of you. The fun, the smiles, the glow from everyone ~ ah Gini, you did it again didn't you ;)
Aw, Laurie! :o :o :o
I, too, certainly hope to see you again real soon! I forget how long of a drive it is for you but is the labor day gathering at Findley a possibility for you?
Let's see... 6 hrs driving to Phred in Eastern Ohio and Findley is west - Ohio is a rather big state. I would probably be better off flying into somewhere and then renting a car. Not out of the question but I've been asked by marketing to work at a meeting in San Fran the 2nd week in September [poor me  ]. Won't know for another week or so, stupid immediate supervisor hasn't made up his mind if he can "spare" me. * if I'm so damned important I should be making more money * So we shall see. Oops, that was off subject - Gini, how is the tree work going? I checked the other thread but check in somewhere. Dang, it was good to talk to you last night!
Tell that supervisor that you MUST come to San Francisco in September! A certain short redhead with two goofy cats demands it and won't take no for an answer! :DQuote:

Happy Birthday RandyK :D :D
:D Do let me know so I can plan my vacation time off around your stay here in our shaky City - just had a 4.5 quake. The cats weren't too happy, but nothing broke; just some jangled nerves here.Quote:

That's what happens when the City hears that Laurie will soon visit - it starts to shake. :D :D
