I was thinking Barry. You mentioned a few days ago that your Dad was going to a support group meeting. Can you find a support group for family members to go to? It seems that might help you if you can talk to other people who have family members that are going through this too. I really hope you can go and get some comfort and relieve some stress.

Its a very hard time for you all and you always take things out on the ones you love the most - is there any way that you can get a carer in even for one day a week so you can have a break?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...tz26/napsy.jpg Fritz having a little napsy in front of the couch.He is behaving tonight,though he did start barking when Larry phoned for nightly check-in.Dad was pretty good,nothing major,just when i didn't punch the holes right in a picture i printed off and i didn't move fast enough to help him off the couch today.Fritz is now under the small couch where he will stay until he is ready to go upstairs.Auntie Bev phoned and Irene starts chemotherapy next week.She will sick for the first couple of days,not eating much then will eat like a horse will lose what little hair she has and can't travel. :cool:
It's a hard job taking care of Papa isn't it Fritz? A guy just has to take a nappie sometimes huh? :)
Barry, your Dad looks like he might feel a little better in that pic. I hope so. I sure hope Auntie Irene does well with the chemo. My thoughts and prayers are with everybody.

Dad was down here today,fiddling around near the the light that wasn't working the other day,got it working then,don't why he was doing.he was on his feet too much and can hardly move them.he was in a down mood again tonight,can't do what her wants.Also today,he come down to get blankets my sister had problems with the washer hose come off and floor got wet, borrowed our wet vaccuum,blankets i guess are to keep the floor clean when the washer is fixed. :D

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../beggarboy.jpg This is Fritz last night begging to go out.he had been out twice,didn't need out andif it was just to go upstairs,he would just start barking,so he ended up having a run around the rec room that tired him out,under the couch he went.he did go up on his own,then i heard a little bark,he was at the top of the stairs,he needed out,so i let him out,he did what he had to do ad he came in and went to bed.I think he is still there now.We might get 4 inches of snow late today into tomorrow so have to wait on that. :cool:

What a player you are Fritz!! You probably got all excited over the snow didn't you? We can imagine how refreshing that must be for you. It's so warm here, we're hoping for some cooler weather soon. By the way.....you sure look as cute as can be. :)
It sounds like your Dad may be getting a little better Barry. I sure hope so. That walker is difficult to figure out. When I had my knee surgery, I could never figure it out either :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...warmingnap.jpg Found Fritz like this under the covers this morning.Most likely how he slept all night,don't know how he could breathe,he seems to like it.Just after 11 last night,Fritz is sitting in the doorway of my bedroom,I tell him to come ,he didn't went to get him and run off towards the livingroom.I wasnt getting up to chase him,he did go back to bed however.We didn't get the big amount of snow thney were forecasting,it is freezing rain,has since early this morning and maybe till 11 a.m. to noon.After that ,then there may be an inch or so of snow,who knows,they were wrong about the big amount.Dad is fine,I wish he would use his walker right,can't tell him or he gets mad.He is hard to understand sometimes.Words are not coming out clearly and he gets digusted when Mom or I can't understand him the first time.He has a bone marrow test on Thursday,see waht happens with that and I think it is today maybe that Auntie Irene starts chemotherapy. :cool:
Fritz!! You look so cozy there. Daisy and Delilah are always under the covers sleeping. I guess they're burrowers by nature. I always wonder how they can breathe. However, Fritz looks like he has a huge pile of covers on top of him ;) We don't ever need that many blankets here. You know how to get warm don't you cutie?
Barry, maybe if you and your Mom can get a medical person to show your Dad how to use his walker properly, he might listen and not get upset. There is a technique to it. Sometimes we listen to outsiders before we listen to our closest family members and we have less of a tendancy to get angry with someone we don't know real well. Just a thought :)

I can't believe how you sit on that foot stool so pretty, Fritzie!! You're a camera ham, buddy!! I sure hope Taffy is okay. I've talked to two people today that had been bitten by spiders.
Those pills for your Dad sound expensive Barry. I hope they will really help him. A wheelchair sounds like a good idea. I hope and pray for the best for him every day. :)

Awwwww!!! We love the picture of you sitting up cutie!! Best wishes to all the family, Barry. I hope Auntie Irene can start her therapy soon so she can work on the cure. I don't know much about the bone marrow testing but I am hoping that will help him somehow.

Barry, I love the picture of Fritz in the snow. He looks like he is begging you to let him back in. :) We had some snow today but it just stuck to the grass. It's strange to be in January and have not even had a measurable snowfall.
In this picture Fritz reminds me of my Ripley. He goes under anything I am reading too.
