Oh my gosh....I'm so jealous! Just look at these precious babies all lined up because they know they will be on Pet Talk! Again, bless you Phred for all you've done. Zippy, you must be so excited to see Bowser so happy. Hugs to you, Sis.

Loved the pictures of the dogs together! And the picture of the 4 of them together does give a great indication of Bowser's size. Bowser is soooo cute!
I just asked Carl if he wanted number 7 and he just about exploded (not in anger, in amazement that I would even ask). I then told him the story of Bowser (he got back late last night from job hunting in North Carolina) and he said, "Phred only has 3 - didn't he say something about Pippi finding HER forever home with US when you said you were putting her into a rescue group?" Sounds like Bowser would be a great addition to his twosome!"
Housebreaking an older dog would probably be very difficult.

Well, once again I'm sitting here grinning from ear to ear! :D
What great pictures! I love Bowser's curly tail! He's a handsome fella alright! The picture of the 4 of them is wonderful!
I'm not too surprised that Bowser fits right in. When I brought my stray cat, Grandma, in to join my bunch, she fit in just like she had been here forever. I was expecting the War of the Worlds and got a flower child convention!:D
-
I love all of the photos! Bowser is so cute!! He looks like a wolf on stubby legs. :D I hope he finds a furever home, he looks like such a sweetheart!
-
WOW! I hardly come to the dog side, but am so glad I caught this thread. Phred you are a truly wonderful, kind hearted man and I commend everyone involved for their hard work because it truly paid off. I'm so happy I have tears in my eyes!!
CONGRATS!

Well it sounds as if all went well on your outing! The "bus" many not be very big for 4 doggies, but I think they all got along wonderfully (bet your glad of that;)).
So glad you decided to take some pictures while you were out. I enjoyed them so much, expecially this one.

I love how clearly his face came out and the rest is just a little blurred. He's adorable!
I know you've heard it a million times already but let me make it a million & 1....THANKS!!! Thanks for giving your time, money and self to help this beautiful guy:D:D

Great pictures. I love the one of the four them lined up. Bowser has the cutest short legs, what a doll.
This just keeps getting better!:D

From someone who thinks twice before we take 2 dogs for an outing, I want to commend and congratulate for making it a great day for 4 ! I know Bowser especially must have enjoyed the excursion and the company of his new friends.
Thank you for taking the time to post the pictures, so the rest of us could enjoy a bit of the day. As the others have said, the pictures are just wonderful.
I can just imagine how happy it must make Grandpa to know that his Bowser is in the hands of someone who is looking out for his welfare. The next step of finding Bowser a forever home might entail a lot of hard work.

OK ~ He's *Back* ...
;)
Safe, Sound, Unharmed, Undamaged, None the worse for Wear,

"Say WHAT??" you say?
Just "confirmed" what I suspected all along...

"Well, HEY, I'm back before DINNER Tyme!"
"<grumble> <grumble> OPEN da dang DOOR!
Summa us gotta *pee*!!!"
On the way IN I brought Bowser UP from his 'partment...
The three "regulars" were offered an "outie";
plan was to "hook up" da Bowser Boy for a "tethered" outie...
# 1, #2, #3 out & BLOCK the door while I fetch the tether on the porch...
Tether in hand, re-blocking door, reach down to complete hook-up
on #4 and <*Zippppp*> - - #4 Be GONE!!!
Son uvva ?---!!!!
Gotta give him credit (or he's dumm) - the Lil BRAT didn't GO
very far... Never left the yard.
Put a LOTTA miles in checkin the place out,
but never got ONto the road, didn't do a Meet & Greet with
the neighbor's HORSES...
But SURE didn't "COME", either!
Cinder dispatched to "Go GET him!
(Or at least FOLLOW him!!) I'll get da Bus"
TWENTY minutes later, my feet soaked, he WAS stayin "close";
just NOT ready to "come IN"!
He'd romp into the garage, look & RUN back out.
Final "fix"??
ME upstairs <lookin> down from above, garage door open a foot...
Cinder In & Out with the BRAT close on her heels...
INTO the garage they go...
<Punch> the upstairs remote button...
<*SLAM*> goes the door!
GOT'cha!!
Ever find it "difficult" to <Talk Happie> when you'd like to
<STRANGLE> one of the 4-Leggers!????
I'm STILL <shakin>!!
Cali sez "See Ya!!
Mom & Dad back home;
I'm outta here to return her uppa street.
*Memo to self:
When "blocking" door -
Keep yur LEGS TOGETHER, Stoopid!!
/s/ da DUMM Bus Driver

LMAO! That is so funny(the garage door part, anyway) I would opt for keeping the door closed until hooked up, I think. That's what I do. But, I've only got one dog.

Note on finding a new home for Bowser - a fenced yard would be good! Just in case ...
Gracie, beloved Great Dane mix of my growing up years, made us all very careful about grabbing a collar BEFORE we open a door. She had that slick-as-glass coat, and if you missed catching her collar as she "made a break for it," trying to grab any other part of her was futile - she'd just slip right through your grip! She was funny, though. She'd take off, but pause at the point from the nieghbor's yard where we could see her from the back door. She'd wait to hear "Gracie! Get back here!" then off she'd go, into the woods.
Did Cinder get and extra biscuit for at least herding Bowser? ;)
-
At least it needn't be a TALL fence!:)
