Add me to the list of Avitar fans!!! I will admit that the plot is nothing new but the way it was presented was beautiful in my opnion. The visuals are spectacular! I love love love this movie!
Edited to add: I am a huge sci-fi film nut though. I even like that old black and white movie where the gigantic brain creatures try to eat people and one of the characters goes after the creatures with an axe...anyone know the name of it? Is Avitar the BEST sci fi film ever? No, I don't think so but it ranks up there for me.
I also like protagonist assemilates into alien culture because he finds them less objectionable than his own culture stories...even in books ;). Yay for plot devices!
