Slick I haven't posted much on this thread because I can never find the right words to say in a situation such as yours. This doesn't mean I haven't been reading and won't be praying for you today. May God wrap His arms around you as you head toward that hospital and give you His peace and then give you a successful surgery and quick recovery. (((hugs)))

Slick, it's almost 5AM over there, so you should be sound asleep. ;) I hope you wake up well rested and are as ready for this as you can be - I know you are! From what you said on the phone, you're as organised as my mom were in such situations. LOL!
It'll go just fine my friend, the surgeon knows what he's doing and the rest of the staff will spoil you as soon as you wake up. :) Take it to the limit girl! ;)
I'm sending tons of positive thoughts your way as you drift into the dreamworld, and I'll be looking forward to updates from Gini.

My sister and I shared a few giggles this morning before we hung up and she (hopefully) snuggled back to bed with Max. She is a strong wonderful friend and I know you all share my love for her. I couldn't stop her from going on about "oh, I must call Randi, Karen and ChrisH and I must...." All I could say was "Slick, you MUST go back to bed now" Will she?? HAH, we shall see
Laurie, I agree - but Slick should have had a full nights sleep!! I bet she didn't take a sleeping pill last night. Hopefully she's back in bed now, snuggling with Max. :)
You know, I doubt they can keep her in bed for long at the hospital! LOL!

Prayers already winging their way Heavenward too but more will be coming all day. The kids have their paws all crossed too. Chester crossed his eyes too but kept bumping into the walls so I told him the crossed paws would do it.

Gini, how will you know when everything is finished? Has Slick authorized you to call and check on her condition or is someone going to call you? You know we will all be sitting on our hands in anticipation of some word about the surgery.
I'll check in again before bedtime tonight. I'm off to volleyball, shortly, but my prayers continue.

There is a woman in her building (friend) who will call the hospital and Slick has authorized the hospital to give her any information.
After she calls, she is to call me and at that point I will post immediately any news on Pet Talk.
She is halfway through her surgery - storming the heavens for her!!!

Realistically speaking there will probably not be an update tonight except "in the recovery room until morning". That would be enough for me. But Gini and I have our brains focused so I have to get back to the room in my heart strings.
How long did she say her surgery would be?
