I saw 2012 a couple days ago and it was absolutely terrible. The special effects were great but the story line was completely corny and ridiculous. We almost walked out it was that bad. I've only walked out on one other movie (Dukes Of Hazzard) so it was quite bad lol.
Hubby and I rented Pelham 1 2 3 last week and it was wonderful. I highly recommend it.
I love, love, love that movie. I look forward to renting it when my daughter is old enough and watching it with her like my mom watched it with me. In '91 I saw a production of Romeo And Juliet in Canada and Megan Follows played Juliet (she's Anne in the movie). I was so delighted to see her perform live on stage.
I have since watched two other Anne movies starring Megan Fellows. i really loved both sequels to the original.Quote:

1987: Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel, a sequel to the 1985 miniseries which aired on the Disney Channel as Anne of Avonlea: The Continuing Story of Anne of Green Gables.
2000: Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story.
I love this series. I have all the books (there are eight, and they are wonderful). All three movies are so good, and I, like Leslie, can't wait to share them with Clara! I have them on DVD, and will probably watch them this week since they've been mentioned in here. :)
I finally watched "The Proposal" last night. Very enjoyable but a little predictable. Worth watching, It had a lot of special funny moments.
Night before last I watched "Minority Report" with Tom Cruise. I usually don't care for the Future cop type of movie, but I liked this one.
The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw - this afternoon. Wonderful movie !!!
I haven't laughed that much in a movie in a very long time. Based on a true story. I would go again tomorrow - that's how much I enjoyed it. And I heard others make similar comments.
My friend carried me to see 'The Blind Side' Friday night when it came out. It was a great movie!
Is this a fairly new movie, i have not heard of it , but i am a big fan of Sandra Bullock and will just about watch anything she stars in.must check this one out for sure ,thanks Grace and others for your reviews.
Watched The accidental Husband in the weekend, a cutesy romantic comedy type movie which is what i really enjoy, not the best movie in the world, but nice light entertainment, and New town, i think that is the name of it, with Renee from Bridget Jones diary in it, and Harry Connick Jnr, another similar type movie, enjoyed both.
Yes, it's new. Just came out last Friday. You will enjoy it, I'm sure :)
Review from the LA Times.
I Will Fight No More Forever (1975) (TV) Re-enactment of the story of Chief Joseph of the Nez Percé Indians, who lived in the beautiful Wallowa Valley of Idaho and Oregon. In 1877, President Grant opened the Valley to white settlement, and the Nez Percé were given 30 days in which to move to the Lapwai Reservation. The government sent the one-armed soldier-chief, General Oliver Otis Howard, to clear all Nez Percé out of Wallowa Valley. Chief Joseph, in a succession of shrewd military actions, outmaneuvered ten pursuing units of the U.S. Army until his outnumbered band -- sick, starving, and tired -- finally surrendered after a 1700-mile, 108-day fighting retreat. On October 8, 1877, Chief Joseph made his noble speech, "from where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever."
It is sad to see how we herded the indians into reservation from east to west.
I guess this was the last of the free indians until Grant's order came down.
Excellent movie. Recommend.
