Went to see Last Chance Harvey, i really enjoyed this movie, if you are after excitement forget it, but if you want a nice romantic, and sweet movie this is it, for some too boring i guess, no swearing, no sex,no violence, but such a refreshing change, very nice movie indeed.
I watched Fight Club today...again lol. I  that movie!
We saw that one and enjoyed it very much - for exactly the reasons you list :)
Yesterday I saw Amelia with Hillary Swank and Richard Gere. Not the best, nor the worst I've ever seen. I did learn a lot about Amelia Earhart. Great scenery, loved the music, and Richard Gere is worth the price of admission any day of the week :)
High Society from 1956 - with Grace Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Louis Armstrong.
Ice Age 3: dawn of the dinosaurs. Very enjoyable, especially for a sequel.
I just got Toy Story 2 in Blu-ray from amazon today. Such a great movie!:)
I was watching Vertigo and changed it just in time to see the homer.
I saw a very funny movie, by accident, today.
It was called, "The Rocker" -it was a "music comedy" about a drummer that gets kicked out of a band and waits 20 years to get famous with another group of musicians. It was juvenile enough to be funny and funny enough not to be stupid with phart and sex jokes.
The one-liners were terrific and I found myself laughing like an idiot-no mean feat for me!
It wasn't as dense as "Spinal Tap" or "School of Rock".
Hocus Pocus-cute Halloween movie-it's a favorite form my childhood
A Walk to Remember-great movie,very sad,about love and faith
The Great Debaters-Great movie about an all-black debate team in the 1930s
Wuthering Heights-really enjoyed it,not as good as the book
Tuesdays with Morrie the non-fiction book was made into a film starring Hank Azaria as Mitch Albom and Jack Lemmon as Morrie. Directed by Mick Jackson, the film won four Emmy awards, a Golden Globe award, and a Screen Actors Guild award.
This is a outstanding movie. Warning !!!! extreme LES
content. Recommend.
Finally got to see "This is it". I really enjoyed seeing it but I'm not sure MJ would have been happy, he was a perfectionist and that was his rehearsal tape.
This week Up! became available on DVD, so we got it from Redbox (which I love, by the way - a DVD for a dollar per day, and you can reserve it online!).
Anyway, I loved it, and was surprised by how much of a dog movie it was, I didn't realize that from any of the ads I saw. I of course loved Doug the Dog, and thought the "cone of shame" usage was great, and exactly a dog's perspective!
I loved it, has anyone else seen it?
yeah I bought UP at Walmart and watched it Wednesday. It was pretty cute. Did you watch the short film featuring Dug that was in the special features section?
"Doubt" with Meryl Streep. It's a pretty good movie that demonstrates what baseless and unfounded accusations can do not only to the accused but the accuser as well. The movie never actually reveals if the suspicions were true or not.
A perfect World 1993
Clint Eastwood crafts a subtle and haunting work that is one of his best.
Starring: Kevin Costner, Clint Eastwood, Laura Dern, T.J. Lowther
This is an excellent movie, Highly recommend.
