These guys love us... they keep showing up.

I dunno, but the fact that their clothes don't last too long might have something to do with it.... (since Laurie wasn't here to do her job, Staci all too readily accepted the position).
AND A BIG, BIG THANK YOU TO SLICK FOR HER THOUGHTFULNESS!

Let the fun begin again!
Just checked my purse....those would be my glasses....(are they magnifying readers?)
It was easy to tell we had the right place. Gini had a few "signs"

THANKS FOR THE PICTURES TONYA!!!
Richard's new do looks very nice!!!
I was relieved because sometimes you never know what it will look like when someone comes at ya with scissors!!! (I know from first hand experience) ;)
Gee! I sure hope you all manage to have some FUN soon though!!! ;)
Just got a peek at ES's album. Must have been my poky dial up service earlier.
What fun: TONS OF CATS IN HATS!!! :D
I Bet Miss Edwina will be jealous!!!
Thanks for sharing them with us!!!
YOU ALL LOOK MA-VA-LOUSE!!! :D
Great pictures everyone.:) I really loved all of the hat pics too. I recognize everyone but who is Misty?
Who indeed  an interloper? Nah, everyone is welcome at the House Of Orange but who indeed? Sara, you and Don look sooo Californ-i-ahh these days, your hearts may be in Chicago but you do appear to be settin' in quite well. Nice job Gini, once again ~
Well, we've dined on left over ribs and beans and slaw and now Byron and I are getting ready to depart soon. Gini's going over the map with us so that we can get to LAX in one piece.
I'll see you all on the Oregon side.
Misty aka Sheila is a good friend of RICHARD'S who is absolutely DELIGHTFUL!Quote:

Wow...you guys make me want to be there. Thanks so much for sharing the pictures! Maybe one day I'll be the other Canadian that makes it down there.... ;)
Looks like PHUN was had by all.
Phred, you amaze me with the contacts you have to send a big 'ol fire truck over.................
One day, gini, one day ........... :D
I actually made it home last night, only fell asleep twice.... ;)
Gini thanks for doing this...I had a great time meeting everyone.
Since I'd never been to Gini's I turned onto her street and silly me started looking for street numbers....all I had to do was look in front of me, after all it's hard to miss a big red fire truck.... :D

I am such a dill - I wanted to call and say hello at 4pm, and then double checked the timezone and I would have called at 4am (though it looks like the party might have still been going!) OOps :o. Thanks for the photos and glad you all had a great time.
Like Captain said, one day, one day!
Hey guys! I just got home..
It was great meeting everyone in person, and seeing a few familiar faces again. Sorry I decided last minute to show up :p I had a lot of fun, and I'm really glad I came down for this years BBQ! :D I hope Slick likes her 'red art' ;) :p
Our plane was delayed by two hours.
We're home now, all kitties present and accounted for. Sid's tail is looking much better although he is still sad at being separated from the rest while he heals.
Believe it or not, we escaped the heat wave by going to LA. Its still 79 degrees outside and its after midnight. Fortunately, we don't have to go to work tomorrow so we have one day to recuperate.
I made it home. too. No plane delays or excessive layovers. Nearly missed my flight at LAX though. Richard was in the bathroom so long, we left Gini's late. What WAS he doing in there? ;)
It was great to meet some new Pet Talkers, but we missed those that couldn't make it.
Gini is really special for putting this on every year. It's a lot of work and expense. I'm glad I could lend a hand, but wish I could have done more.
Thanks, Gini :D
Was he shaving his legs? Admiring his new haircut? ;)
Maybe that's why the bathtub blocked up last year! :DQuote:

Sara and Richard - I'm SO sorry I missed your return calls! After I....errr....Detective Francis of the LAPD called you, I set the phone right on the table so we wouldn't miss your return call. The phone never rang so I thought perhaps Sara left her phone at home or something. Sunday morning I saw there were two missed calls and two voice messages. I couldn't believe it when I listened and it was you two, shortly after I had called you no less! After much throwing the phone around trying to figure out why it hadn't rung, we discovered it was on "silent" mode. I have NO idea how it got there because I don't even know how to put it in silent mode, and between Terry and myself it took a good 20 minutes of going through menus to discover how to get it off of silent mode. Evidently "silent" doesn't include "vibrate" either, or that would have attracted out attention. The only thing I can figure is for some reason the universe conspired against us to prevent us from talking. :( Sounded like you guys were having a great time though, and I'm sorry I missed the call and the fun. Next year we're just going to have to arrange our travels so we're not far away from LA in July. ;)
Debbie, I think perhaps Terry's mother ship might have been blocking the signal.
:D :DQuote:

Once again, thanks to the hostess with the mostess Gini for opening her heart and home to the PT family. These weekends always go by so fast! I believe there are a few lucky people left extending their fun at the House of Orange.
We made it home ok, and it's still hot!
**hugs**
My goodness Staci i just looked on a map and just noticed how far you had to fly . How long was your flight?
Love the photos everyone :D.
Well this year my flight here was about 4 1/2 hours - non stop. No bugs this time. But I leave tomorrow nite so we'll see about on the way home.Quote:

I'll repeat the first part of it tho b/c it was too cute.
T'was 8:00pm the nite after the PetTalk BBQ and not a creature was stirring except a New Mexican and Ohioan.
Gini and Kelly were taking naps and that left Tonya and I to amuse ourselves.
Soon after 830 tho Gini got up and Kelly woke up and we went out to a fabulous dinner at Maggiano's.
Today is shopping :)
It is a sad day - in less than 25 minutes we will be leaving for the airport to drop off Tonya.
Staci, Kelly and Tonya have been staying here - and it has been so much fun having my "girls" with me.
Rascal won't leave them alone!! Annie got into the act and Staci said that she was able to touch Emma's tail.........WOW!
We are very sorry Gini- but we hope after partying for days you all have more time to upload the pics ;)
Its almost time for the worst part of the BBQ...the ending. :(
We still have many more hours with Stace, Gini and I (Kelly)...they're "resting their eyes" and I believe Tonya will be taking off in about 15 minutes...I'm just catching up here.
Its been SO GREAT having everyone out here and spending time together. While we missed those that aren't able to be here, you're all here in spirit. It was great talking to those that called us on the phone!!
Hmm..usually its ME sleeping late or napping...ha ha.
After mom and Stace awake, we're going to Shutters, a gorgeous restaurant in Venice/Santa Monica, so Stace can see/touch the ocean...she hasn't seen that yet.
OK, off to check on the orangies and the porch kitties! They're sooo cute! Rascal has been the PUURRRRFECT host! He's such a love and just jumps right up on your lap when he feels he needs to...so cute! :)
Hugs, Kelly :)
Yuppers, Miz Zipp took off about 3:40 pm Eastern time and according to theQuote:

For those of you who were'nt aware, Slick (aka Slice), did the sweetest thing by sending us all a care package with Canadian goodies. :D :D
I THOUGHT that my package included a little scented candle in a glass container.
It wasn't until I bothered to look at it more closely last night that I realized that she had sent me laundry soap.  :D
(I think I need new glasses)
Laundry soap with stain remover added I hope ;) My next meeting in Seattle will be a perfect opportunity to visit with you and Slick again I hope Julie! It's not terribly far from both of you I think
WOW looks like it was tons of fun. Loved all the pics. I hope we can make it to one of these gatherings some day.
After an uneventful but scary first leg (turbulence) and an all-too-informative second leg (got to hear all about the marriage problems of the couple sitting next to me (he's having an affiar, she's lazy and doesn't excite him anymore -- oh yeah and "happy birthday honey, I forgot until just now"), I made impeccable time on the way home.
And what a homecoming! Mom said that when K'Cee heard my car pull in the drive way she booked it to the door. :D I missed my girl! She is, however, rather upset as my luggage and clothes smell "orange." (We're remedying this by rolling around on them as much as possible.) And since I brought her a pressie (pink glittery collar from the airport's Bow-Wow-Meow), all is forgiven.
At any rate, I made it home a couple of hours ago and all is well.
I believe Stace should be at the airport and Gini on the way back home (if not already there). Not sure if Kelly was going to the airport or back to Newbury Park...
Pics might have to wait until tomorrow. I'm getting ready to unpack my suitcase then (possibly) clean the mess that the window-installer-guys made today (dust EVERYWHERE). If I'm not fallin' asleep by then, I'll post 'em.
{{A very big THANK YOU to Gini for opening the House of Orange for another fabulous event!}}
