Yippee!!!! I came home today and found Isabel's card in the mail! I was afraid maybe it had ended up in the Twilight Zone somewhere! Thank you so much, Isabel, I loved it, you're a real sweetheart!
I think I have gotten them from everyone now. The card exchange made Christmas so special this year, I enjoyed each & every card! Especially with all of my family elsewhere (except Star & Sherman), I still felt surrounded by friends! :D

yes you told me, and I suggested a virtual card which you could post here, because of the $$ issue and you said it was ok, but I havenīt seen that either........if you didnīt had the money you were not expected to send but at least have the detail to do as I suggested, as in a Thank you way.........Quote:

I donīt think anyone wants a reimbursement, I think it was money well spent, at least for me, I loved giving/sending cards, and if I donīt get the rest I wonīt go asking for reinburments to the ones who got mine........

We had tests and medication from our vet before we went to the humane society. The EXPLORATION was not free, but the respaying was.

We can certainly understand. It was tough getting mine out, as I spent nearly $900 on Mufasa (my new puppy) alone just last month. And then I also spent an additional $200 or so on flea medications and treatments because he came infested with fleas and gave them to my other three dogs and our house. I HOPE *knock on wood* we have it under control now.
Thankfully, I was still able to get them out, even if they were a few days late. :D But it's always fun to extend Christmas and I don't think it's right not to follow through with something like this.
I received Isabel's last week and it was so cool. It's crazy how wierd the mail service works. It was also neat to see the Mexican stamp.
My mom rolled her eyes and said "You're STILL receiving cards?!?"
So, when your's comes I'm sure she'll be especially jealous. :p Thank you for still sending them, and don't worry about them being late - as long as we get them! :D
It is so interesting............I was thrilled with each card that I received.
But, I didn't go back and check the list to be sure that EVERYONE sent me a card. I just assumed that if I didn't get a card that there was a good reason behind it. Things happen in life and sometimes you cannot keep a promise and are embarrassed to say so.
This has happened before with the Christmas card swap - some people just couldn't get the cards out. But it never spoiled the wonderful cards that I did receive or the season and spirit of our exchange.
The gift exchange is different - if one person is counting on receiving a gift -
then that is important and you shouldn't sign up unless you are positive that you can afford to do it and that you want to do it.
But NOTHING should spoil our beautiful card exchange that took place in Corinna's name. She wouldn't want us fighting over it - for sure!

I didn't write a list of who sent me a card and who didn't - it was just wonderful to receive some :rolleyes: What would Corinna think of the bickering eh?
Good grief- now I am glad I can not take part- I do not need the raised the blood pressure.. I think I will just stay a poster and NOT someone involved in any swap. ...
I just made the list to keep track, and to help me notice if someone has had trouble or something.........it made me realize a few members that havenīt been around lately and made me wonder if they were ok......
Iīm happy too with the cards Iīve received........it I get them all.....GREAT......but if not (for whatever reason) Iīm happy too as I was a part of it.........
I totally understand if someone canīt send, but itīs nice to know as of why *I think*.......

Now there has been some concern with the gift swap,And im not here to start a fight,I have no intentions on recieving something and not doing anything in return,The Card Swap i missed with good reason,I was hanging on to dear life.
I'm fine now,Struggling my life has completly changed,But i am able to go on now,I was a little upset yesterday when i got the email about your concerns,All im asking is for another chance,I did not skip anything on purpose.
The decision is not up to me but i do hope i can perticipate in this gift swap,

I'm SO glad you're feeling all better! just a little darn we're not going to see your lovely dogs. ;) I'm sorry if you were removed off gift swap - if I were the swap director, I'd give everybody a second chance for this reason. I just hope you GOT the cards when you were IN hospital!
yikes, cataholic, she's gini, I thought you were talking to me! :p sweet gini, we all have different expectations in this swap. I check the list to make sure not any of cards got lost in mail. I almost lost three of my packages last christmas and it felt really suck! so, when we see the names on list, we are expecting them to come unless we heard something else happened, right? I'm sure you would be disappointed if half of the cards never came.
I'm sorry this is a bit old, I'm glad you edited your posts vela, they were hurtful to read especially calling person a name when a person is already feeling bad and trying to offer something else. I'm at least happy she got my card through this rough time, it's nice thing we could do for her. and for corinna too.
captain and kfamr, I still would like to know what card you sent so I will know if they did came! I've looked over everywhere for them and I don't usually lost things...shucks if they got lost in mail.. :(
I also kept a list to keep track of MY OWN cards........but glad to know what happened to the ones that hadnīt arrived.......I think letting you know they hadnīt arrived would make anyone think "hey I did send it, what happened?" and not meant to be like "hey you didnīt send to me ".......just to let everyone now what happened with their cards while onthe "twilight"....LOL

I hate to state more here but it has already started here. as much as we prefer, you could have emailed me if you had more to say, it's in there. I was talking about your first post too and I felt it was fair for everybody to see my this morning post since you made a public post too as well as you did it again now. I know it was a bit old but I didn't get a chance to post the night I wanted to. and I believe I am allowed to post my opinions/thoughts/feelings anytime anywhere I want to as long as I don't say anything harsh.
so, it IS personal to me when someone's just so rude to somebody else. :( especially when someone did the similar thing to me. I've lived with enough with rudeness and I hurt when I see my friends hurt. like you said in PM, she is mad, and hurt and upset. JOYOUS -- it makes all sense to me when enough people made mistakes after hers, because she wants to be part of this big family she (and everyone) deserves.
frustrated. just that I read your post after I got an apology PM from bcmom for not getting her card and I wanted everyone to read me here too. I'm sorry if you didn't liked it.

yes ramanth, 9 of you (9 last in the list, I think) didn't get my cards I couldn't finish last time and mailed them out yesterday so you should get it soon. but cataholic, you should have gotten my card. :confused:

okay- I may have no right to say anything as I was not in this, or the coming gift swap either- but I will say this- after reading how ugly this turned, how feelings got hurt- count me out of all swaps but the compliment thread....
For God sake Lori was ill, BC mom got hit hard the whole month of december, and instead of sympathy, I see an attack.. The others- well I do not know- but from the point of a reader of this thread, NEVER will I join a swap.. And I am deleting my " kicking dirt clods" I cant join the gift swap.. To me- none of this is worth it and highly juvenile in appearance..
For God sake- we should hold each other up- NOT kick them when they are already down...
as my grandmother use to say " not all comments have to be said.. " And I am SURE I am not the only reader to see this, that thinks the same way.

These swaps are generally very civil. Amy and I, and whoever else decides to host a swap, try to keep it that way by removing any problems. Thus, the reasoning of me removing those who did not follow through with the card swap from the gift swap. It is very stressful to host a swap so any grief is NOT needed.
The whole thing about not participating in the gift swap started out private (and very mature and civil) but was brought public by a member, and has become very immature and uncivil. Lets be adults and keep it the way it started and leave this thread be. What's done is done, nothing is going to change.

You're doing a wonderful job, and you're right, some people had NO clue why they hadn't received a card from so-and-so. After taking over the card swap duties from Corinna, it became your duty to be the messenger and you've done a wonderful job. All of this fueding is no fault of yours. {{HUGS}}
