I copied this from Grace's post in the thread about stem cell research. If Octo-Mom only wanted one more child, why could she not have had two - or even three - embryos implanted and share the others with someone else who wants children?

Interesting that Allred had to dangle child welfare in front of Suleman to get her to accept help from Angels in Waiting. Doubly interesting that dad is buying a house for them. I saw the Octu-Mom on showbiz tonight yesterday and I just wanted to scream out loud. She is making money by licensing the octuplets' pictures, which is what she's using to purchase that house.

Her mugg is everywhere. She was on Dr Phil again yesterday (and today I think), and she's on Entertainment Tonight and The Insider every night now. I wish everyone would just ignore her and quit feeding that oversized ego of hers. I'm sick of seeing her and listening to that annoying voice of hers! :eek: Frankly, I hope she falls flat on her butt and the state takes those kids and puts them where they will have what they need permanently - not just for how long Angels Wings is going to look out for them. I think I heard it was only for 6 months, but I could be mistaken. After that - then what????? :confused:

I worry the most about how messed up those kids will be if they stay with her. Obviously, she isn't all there so what's going to happen in a few years?:confused::(

I haven't read through all of the threads, I just wanted to say that I am so sick of hearing about her. She's everywhere. I caught a bit of her on Dr. Phil and she is just saying whatever he wants to hear. You can tell by looking at her that she doesn't get it; that she's not all there. I feel so bad for the kids, I pray that they somehow turn out ok. Such a sad situation....

RANT!!!

I made the mistake of watching Dr Phil yesterday - and yes - Moron Mom was on again!!!

Dear DP went to the hospital to see the babies - and goo-goo'ed over them. So what - most babies are cute, arent they?

Then the show went back to the studio. Angels in Waiting went thru the new house and picked it apart with a fine tooth comb, pointing out everything that was wrong and had to be corrected before any of the babies can come home. A few of the things that they noted and must be corrected: open staircase (kids could fall thru), rails too far apart on the stair railing (kids could get stuck or fall thru), single pane windows (too hot in summer and too cold in winter) - just for starters. So of course arrangements have been made to correct everything that needs fixing - a general contractor is doing it free of charge - what a surprise!!! A nursery designer is coming in to design the nursery, another company is providing all the nursery furniture (cribs, changing tables, dressers, rocking chairs), another company is redoing all the flooring and carpet - and of course all of this is free of charge. I wonder why Extreme Makeover Home Edition doesn't just go in and level the place and build her a big, fancy mansion - free of charge of course????

Then at the end of the show, DP had the balls to post the website where everyone can go to make donations - whether it be monetary, or goods such as formula, diapers, etc. I wanted to barf!!!

And someone needs to tell Moron Mom to "put a sock in it"! It is so ignorant the way she constantly is talking over people when they talk to her. She can't shut her mouth and let them say what it is they are saying, and then talk - she's constantly running her big mouth at the same time! :mad:

Well, we knew it was coming. At least the children will have a decent life, for a while anyhow. And that's what we all want, correct? :)

Yes - as everyone says "it's all about the children". I agree and don't have a problem with that. I just hate to see "Mom" reaping the rewards of it all, but unfortunately there's no way to seperate the two.

What angers me, is when I see all the needy and deserving people who need help also, having to settle for the crumbs (in comparison) that the rest of society and the government tosses out to them - if they get anything at all. It just breaks my heart!

And I suppose I shouldn't refer to this person as a "moron', since it's obvious she's pretty darn smart - in a slick and manipulative way of course!

Well, I wouldn't go that far. It's hardly ever "all" about anything; someone is usually there to take the fall out, unfortunately. This is probably going to be an ongoing saga. Well, the Octomom and kids are here to stay.

I don't care if she "makes money" by selling the kiddie photos throughout their lives. She won't be able to support them by going to college and earning her degree in Social Work or whatever it was she said she was trying to finish, I think between the income from publicity, welfare if she / they are entitled and then payments and support from her parents, she and her kiddies may survive this mess.

If I never saw her again, it would be too soon. I think she is a nut case, but that doesn't change matters any at this point.

I have to toss this in for the people who are so critical of the OM and her brood.

For the last month I have had to make a concerted effort to skip the screening for the movie, "Juno" on HBO.

The channel; guide taunts it as a 'slice of life' movie about a teen who gets pregnant the 'first time'.

Oh, how touching! Some stupid little child that gets knocked up and smarms her way thru her putting the child up for adoption.

LOL, this on the heels of Tina Fake and the movie "Baby Moron-Momma", that makes fun of IVF and the Katherine Heigel movie about a one night stand that get her pregnant.

The same people who roundly made fun of and criticized BP and her pregnancy are the same idiots who went out in drove to make money for the idiot studios and actors that make light of some pretty serious situations.

So it's quite alright to laugh with a movie teen tramp who twaddles her way to an adoption, it's only fiction.

But when it happens in real life, we beat the crap out of the real people and never get the message of these movies?

As I said before, with this addendum. It's cannon fodder for the news/media, a tragedy when it happens in your house and enertainment when it's a movie for the masses?

If there is one kid out there that watches a movie like "Juno" and thinks that if they sleep with a guy, and happen to get pregnant, they can get rid of the kid, just like in the movie- it's a fricking tragedy.

BP is a young girl who got caught up in the moment and let her hormones rule. The OM is a woman who already had 6 and threw caution to the wind, went the IVF route and gave birth to 8 more and that's being kind to the OM. Many believe that she calculated her every move. BP didn't. She probably didn't think at all as is common w/some young people. The two situations are poles apart, RICHARD, and definitely not worth getting your belly in a rash. Donate if you wish but do so out of a pure heart and not due to guilt because you made fun of her because then to be fair you should donate to NP, BO, Dr. Phil and countless others about whom you've made less than praiseworthy comments (not that any of those people need donations.) :)

The people with money can take the critique.

THere are thousands of kids having kids and they never get the attention-monetary or familial that those two cases have received. MY concern lies with them, not some media hyped circus that a desk jockey deems necessary for the nightly news/blog/talking head show.

We give off an air of compassion, yet we hammer people for being stupid and never look at the situation with a critical eye.

Giving a donation to the OM for laughing at her is poles apart from donating to a stupid congress member, a lying politician and a moron that calls himself a doctor.

Can you imagine the response from the MSM or the DNC if Palin hadnt announced her daughters pregnancy? It would have been 10 times worse then it was, and thats just the cry's of hypocrisy. Especially after the stories of Tripp actually being Bristol's child, and Sarah was only covering for her.

I thought Juno raised an option that is underrepresented in the discussion - adoption. It showed the pain that goes with it but certainly the benefits of it as well.

The first two of the eight babies were discharged from the hospital. I was hoping this would get no attention but apparently there was a media camp in front of their new house. They did actually show footage on the news of mom giving one of them a bottle.

SO, Ernie is the father!!!!

I saw footage of the "homecoming" on the ET last night. It was disgusting. The paparazzi were beating the side of the car, and flashbulb after flashbulb went off through the windows in those tiny babies faces. Apparently, Nadya did give rights to a few programs to film the homecoming, and ET must have been one of them because they had a camera inside the car when she came home. I was practically in tears watching the footage, because I can't even imagine how terrifying it must have been. Nadya had to call 911 to get the police to get the media away, and it looked like they had broken her garage door. As the car pulled into the driveway, paparazzi were clinging onto the sides and hood if the vehicle!!

No matter what her choice was, and despite all the media frenzy, in NO WAY is in appropriate for those babies to be overstimulated that way - yes, she allowed a couple of news crews and so be it. The money from that is going to the Angels in Waiting people who have set up her nursery, etc. from what I've seen/ heard. But the appalling actions of the paparazzi ought to be criminal.
