I am so sorry to hear that.
I am sure Sasha knows that you are with her. And I am sure she trusts you fully.

What a wonderful vet you have. My eyes fill with tears at the thought of the pain you must be feeling. Spoil her a bit for me too.
:( :( :( My heart is breaking for you and my eyes are leaking badly.....
I just can't imagine how hard it must be to watch your precious furbaby come to the end of the road.
Just as Glacier did a few days ago with her precious Twicket, hold her in your arms and help her on her journey.
Sasha, when you get there, you will be greeted by good health and vitality. All the furangels will welcome you with open paws and you will enjoy a happy eternal life. In the night, please come and visit your Meowmie and purr in her ear so that she knows that you made it safely.
Big {{{hugs}}} to you Susan.
Dear dear Susan,
I am so sorry to read about Sasha!!! Despite things going the way they are now, just being there for Sasha is the absolutely best thing(for both of you)! She KNOWS that you love and will gently care for her. When my Boo had come to this stage, the one thing she loved to lick from my finger was butter!!! It made me happy to know I still was able to do something for Boo that she still was able to enjoy! Will keep Sasha and you close in thoughts and prayers!!!

kb2yjx,
I will try butter. Sasha's doctor has prescribed another appetite simulant. I'm leaving right now to pick it up. Hopefully it will help my baby and she'll eat some of her treats.
Thank you, everyone & everypet for your kindness.
I sure hope the new stimulant will increase her appetite. I remember when my Mom's cat wasn't eating much (she had mouth cancer), she would enjoy licking whipped cream off my finger. C'mon Sasha please eat. You need to regain your strength. You still have memories to make with KatMa & PawPaw and you need to feel a bit better in order to do that. We are pulling for you sweetheart!
I hope Sasha will try the butter!!! All the Clan Campbell Cats have folded paws and are praying VERY hard for sweet Sasha!!!

How heartbreaking. I am crying with you and there is nothing we can do. The Lord needs her soon and then she will be at peace.
I'm very sad to hear that Sasha could be losing her battle
for health.:( She is such a brave little soul & has endured so
much. I pray when the end nears that she goes painlessly and
peacefully. She certainly deserves that. Bless her little heart.
To the above I can only add that my thoughts and prayers are with you as always, and I know how difficult your fight has been, darling Sasha, and how painful for your Ma & Pa to feel so helpless in trying to make you better . . . do try to eat a little bit of something to sustain you, if it is your wish. Love and blessings, precious girl.Quote:

I don't think there is anyone who loves their cat more than Susan and Murray love Sasha. I know you will make the best decision for dear Sasha, even though it breaks your heart. Peaceful journey to you, Sasha, gentle little soul.
I just wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Please take care.
I just came home and read the update and everyone's loving, caring messages, to which I add my own. This is a very precious, special and private heartache time for you and you are brave to share it with us. If it sustains you, please know that most, if not all of us have been through this at some time and are feeling our own pain again alongside you and I am trying to send feelings of support across the airwaves. Sasha, rest quietly with Mamma and bask in her love and caresses. Her heart is broken into a million pieces so that you may take some of it with you when you leave. Look out for a naughty blue point Siamese with a loud purr at the Rainbow Bridge. She will come to meet you. Tell her I still love her and think of her and treasure the memories of our last day together. Along with all the others who have gone before, she will show you all the sunny spots, the special places where the butterflies flutter about, where all the tastiest treats are to be found, and introduce you to the PetCare Angels who cuddle and stroke and play with you. It will be lovely there, lovelier than you can ever imagine. You will feel well, have the energy to frisk and frolic, and the appetite to enjoy the nectar of the gods in that wonderful place. Be happy, be peaceful, go gently. :( :)
Just checking in and wondering how Sasha is doing today. Did the stimulant allow her to eat any of her favorite things? She has been, as always, in my thoughts and prayers and I hope that she is having a good day today. I know everyday you have with her is a good day, I just hope she is feeling better today.

Photo of Sasha, taken yesterday. Our darling is amazing! Sasha is still fighting and we are feeling so much better. After I picked up new appetite stimulator prescription pills and we gave her one -- big improvement! About 45 minutes after that pill was in her system it was as if an "appetite" switch was turned on. Sasha began eating & drinking:
Turkey, salmon, ice-cream, prescription kitten food, water, milk, 5% cream and Waltham's kitten/cat milk starting from around 6:30 p.m. [on and off] until midnight. We figure if you put all the food into a 5.8 ounce tin, she ate at least that if not more!!! Plus about 4 ounces of 5% cream and maybe 5 ounces of skim milk and then water every so often -- we're elated!
Sasha is comfortable right now, enjoying feline life which means she is sleeping well, purring, greets us, responds to her name by a little flick of her tail, jumps on the beds, and in general is surveying her Palace and estate grounds.
Her [our] veterinarian telephoned early evening to report on her consult with the veterinarian internist/oncologist. Sasha has, as reported yesterday, reached the end of her medical treatment and will now have meds that make her comfortable and allow her to live a happy pussy-cat life. We hope we get many more days but realistically know that her time is day-by-day. We treasure every nano-second our little girl is happy and comfortable and with us. We have promised Sasha she shall not suffer and we will honour that promise.
Another photo of our darling. Fri Aug 12 2005, 06:30pm ET --
Sasha was surveying the front of her Palace grounds [looking out of her human brother, Mark's window] when I called her name. She turned around to acknowledge me. Mark is away right now from his home-base in Pasadena, CA so is unaware of the further developments re: Sasha's health. Mark and fiancee Cherry live very far from Montreal, Canada...but Mark did fly in to visit Sasha in May.

Later today I'll take more photos and post in this Forum.
We are blessed: today is another day with Sasha which means it is a good day!
Thank you so much for your support. It is helping our darling little girl fight and stay with us. You are the best and we are so blessed to have human and pet friends pulling for Sasha.
