Hey guys...

I've gotten a few emails from Gina and she wanted me to update you all. She's going back in the hospital so they can do her endoscopy this week...as well as some other tests, I think.

Please keep her in your prayers. I know they help. Being in the hospital is scary, but when you can't communicate to your nurses and doctors, its terrifying. :( I feel so badly for her.

But...I know the power of prayer, ESPECIALLY PT prayer...and it works and can help her.

I hope they find out what's wrong so that she doesn't have to keep going into the hospital. Being in the hospital is hard enough when you think you can communicate with the doctors but when they don't understand your questions, it has to be twice as hard. I don't understand why they don't have an interpreter on staff. That is just wrong.

I feel better now that I've been able to communicate more with Gina.

She wanted me to update you all...

She had to sign herself out again yesturday. Before you get upset, let me share with you what she told me. I guess her doctor was really rough with her and really hurt her hand/wrist. On top of all her other pain, this was added.

She feels like she's been mistreated and therefore didn't want that to continue.

She's going back in the hospital (Stanford, I think) and will remain there like a good patient.

She wanted me to give you all lots of HUGS and to ask for pet pictures. You can post them here or PM them to me and I'll email them to her.

I got an email saying she's back in the hospital...a good one, and is recieving pain medicine again. She says she'll stay in there.

Gina Update:

Gina is still in the hospital...which is good. They found she has a very painful hernia...the cause of her abdominal pain, and also may have an ulcer in her stomach too.

She wanted me to thank you all for your prayers, pictures and kind words. They really help her a lot.

She's currently reading Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul, that is giving her a lot of comfort. :) One of her friends came by and brought her a bunch of pictures of her pets, so that's keeping her spirits up too.

My sister just found out she has a severe hernia. It is treatable. That is something good. I'm praying for Gina every day.

Is someone taking care of the furkids? Someone she can trust? Send her hugs from me.

Gina, you have been in my daily prayers and will continue to be throughout this difficult time. I’m glad to hear that you have some quality reading material (big “Chicken Soup” fan here!) as well as some pictures of the fuzzies.

Uppydate:

Gina needs prayers. She's just been informed she needs to have an emergency surgery tomorrow or Friday to repair her hernia. The doctors tell her that without this surgery, her life is at risk.

She desperately wants to go home to say "goodbye" to her furkids, "just in case". I know that's not going to happen. I know God wants her around and we live in an AMAZING time medically. The region she's in is surrounded by renowen medical schools...this girl is in GOOD HANDS!!

Please pray she'll be able to stay in the hospital until she's well. I know its hard for her...but its necessary.

Please pray for strength, peace, calmness and guidance for Gina. She really needs that right now.

I just found this thread...........and my first thought was Thank God the Doctors have found the cause of all of the pain that Gina has been in.

This poor woman..........what an ordeal she has been through.

I would like to join our Head Bunny in prayer that this surgery will heal Gina and bring her back to good health. I too, want to see her stay in the hospital until she is completely recovered.

Where is Crayola during all of this? I have been worried about him too.

Gosh! I just found this thread too and I'm glad that Gina is in good hands. I'm confident that the doctors will take good care of her and will take all necessary precautions during the surgery. I really hopes this helps Gina to heal so she can feel better! It must be scary being in the hospital, so I'm glad that you've been in touch with her, Kelly. You are such an angel! Prayers are on the way for Gina, and Priya sends puppy kisses and "the boyz" send purrs and headbumpies.

Gina sent me an email at 1:45 this afternoon saying she was awake...she had a pretty traumatic surgery...her heart stopped for three minutes... :eek: She's OK now and is resting.

I'm sorry I didn't let you all know sooner, I've been really busy at work.

Please continue with prayers for our Gina.
