Mmm...Pie.
For me, it depends on the day, my mood, the people around me, etc. I know I'm not ugly, but I don't think I'm beautiful by any means. I think I'm very lucky to look the way I do, because I'm not physically horrendous...And I've had more than a few cat calls come my way... ;) :p Hehe.
I just looked in the mirror, decided I look pretty good today. So I'm gonna vote yes. Besides, beauty is what's on the inside! :)
i think i'm pretty:)but not beautiful. i dont think that everday, theres atleast one day a week when i look like total crap:rolleyes: lol.The only thing is that i need to shed a few pounds;) which i've already lost around 5.I'm getting there!I'm not a self concious person,i could really care less about what people think of me.I have friends and family that love me for who i am and what i look like:)
i agree,Beauty comes from the inside
If we are just talking about on the outside then I say yes, LOL well I think I'm beautiful on the inside as well. I think I'm very unique looking so I realize not everyone is going to find me physically attractive but I'm ok with that.
A while back I was at a bar and had someone approach me, I said that I was seeing someone but I was up for some friendly conversation. Then the person told me that I looked different and there wasn't a single person in the room that looked like me and it got her attention. I think that was the biggest compliment anyone has ever given me about my looks.
However in the past year I've lost close to 50 lbs and I think that's affected how I see myself. But when I was heavier I still saw myself as beautiful, I think every person is beautiful. Everyone has their own unique qualities, everyone is special and that's what makes a person beautiful.
I voted....and that's all I'm going to say.
I don't think I'm beautiful at all. I guess I'm OK looking when I'm at a decent weight, but I'm just plain ugly with all of the weight I'm carrying right now. Media has definitely had a negative affect on my view...that's for sure...
I do not think I am beautiful, physically. Thank goodness my husband does, though!!! :)
I'm not at all beautiful. Ugly is a better word. :p
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.:D I have been told
that I am an attractive woman.:p

Karen, it bring tears to my eyes to hear you say this. You have one of the most radiant smiles I've ever seen and you can light a room (or a back yard :D ) just by being there.

but I don't think I'm beautiful by any means.
Jordan, the last time you were down here all I could see in your face was beauty. Please hold on to that and don't let anyone tell you that you're not. Now, go and get those CD's warmed up for July. ;) :p
Every time there's a picture thread here I see so many gorgeous PT'ers...
Don't flatter me, I'll turn into a snob! :pQuote:

I was just singing karaoke a couple of minutes ago...LOL.
There are some days where I feel gorgeous and other days where I feel hideously ugly. 90% of the time I feel ugly. When I look in the mirror I am constantly finding little flaws that make me crazy and I wish I didn't have them. I really wish the mirror was not invented, it is my worst enemy....ick, ick, ick....:(
I'm amazed at how many people here are voting no. I wish that women would understand that it's the little flaws that make them beautiful. If everyone looked "perfect" the world would be boring, everyone would look the same.
No, not at all. I'm fat and ugly.
There is something beautiful about EVERY woman...and yes, I am beautiful....I know this to be a fact because my husband told me so and he wouldn't lie to me LOL
 Me beautiful? HA! I wish. I need to lose some weight and I would feel a little better about myself.
I voted no also. A big part of that is I've let men affect how I feel about myself my whole life. I'm to a point now that I don't care about them. The majority of men are so shallow and superficial. No matter how they look, they expect a skinny model type woman for themselves. So, the next time I lose weight, it will be for me and no one else. Besides, no man can fill Duke's shoes, so to speak. Has anyone else had this negative experience with men?
Exactly.Quote:

It's sad:rolleyes:
I'm married to a negative experience. :DQuote:

No. I don't think I'm pretty, beautiful, cute, what have you.
I have EXTREMLY low self esteem. I've been told that I'm pretty, but I honestly don't believe it.
i personally think im beautiful and am told often, so im guessin its true. :)
I have pretty crappy self-esteem which is largely perpetuated by tons of negative self-talk and, to a lesser extent, physical appearance. By no means do I think I'm beautiful or pretty or anything of the sort and I have a really hard time accepting compliments. I absolutely loathe the way I look and I don't see how anyone could see me differently. (Can we say anal-retentive, overtly perfectionist, OCD tendencies? :o )
Tonya you're just being silly. I've seen pics of you before and you are gorgeous!
I beg to differ....and we'll discuss this in July.....Quote:

Laura, I couldn't agree with you more!
I voted no and it's mainly because of my weight. I have been fat all my life except 10 years ago I lost a ton of weight and I felt great about myself until I started attracting attention I was not used to and it made me very uncomfortable, almost frieghtened. Anyway I believe that was main reason I've let myself gain back all the weight but now I have no self esteem. I used to be one of those females who would never be caught dead without makeup and hair perfect but the past year or so I've gotten where I hardly wear it and just recently I quit coloring my hair and dyed it back to my drab boring mud brown. I just don't care anymore. I kind of prefer to fade into the background anyway.
Awww, Lori. It makes me sad to see you saying that. :( You're such a terrific person. :)
I suppose I can relate to most of it though.
Have you ever seen the stars and models without make-up? They look very different. If one looks at magazines you get a distorted idea of beauty. Air-brushed pics takes pounds off and makes everything look perfect. LOL
I can't really answer this poll because it depends on the mood I'm in. However I just wanted to reply to a couple things people have said..
I agree totally with Laura. She is so right when she says everyone is beautiful in their own way.
Tonya, I've told you this a million times and I will say it a million more - you have the most beautiful soul of any person I've ever been blessed to know, and you are truly special.
I have days where I feel like crap and others where I feel great - but I think if I look deep down inside I know I'm beautiful in my own way :)
No way, Jose.
Horsecrap. I have a photo of us in the Sonic parking lot. And, describing the photo, I'd have to say two beautiful women are in it. And, you can't argue with my logic, so, don't try. ;) I would have voted "hell, yes" if it had been an option. ;)Quote:

Now, I've gained to much weight, and being sick quite a lot, created uncountable wrinkles on my face... :( . I've always looked a lot younger than I am though :D
No, I've never been beautiful. Now I'm older, carrying too much extra weight and have a whole lot of wrinkles, I certainly haven't improved with age. :D But you know what, I am truly comfortable with that, I'm just glad to be still here! :D
Chris
Not at all. I've never seen myself as beautiful. I have low self esteem too. I also have a hard time accepting any compliment(but they are few and far between anyway). It also doesn't help being good friends with a girl who's constantly told that she's pretty, guys always look at her and try to pick her up:rolleyes: Thank god I already have a man or I'd be really depressed!
I stand by my statement..there is something beautiful in ALL women..
You gals are too hard on yourselves..I have seen several of your pics and I would call you beautiful ladies
I was so torn between beauty and pie. Only get to select one option. Why must this world be so cruel!?!
But seriously I think of myself as quite the looker, if only I could get rid of my darn glasses. Not many people agree with that, yeah, 5'1" Native American who weighs +/-140lbs and has muddy brown unruly hair, I think other people might see me as not beautiful but I'm such a brat that I can spend hours in front of the mirror admiring myself. I don't have any self-confidant problems that have to do with my looks as the thought of somebody thinking of me as ugly never crosses my mind when I'm out and about. I know many many beauiful people who see themselves as ugly and can't accept it when I tell them that they look pretty. They always have a snappy comeback when I honestly tell them they look great. I guess they must measure themselves up to the skinny little singers and movie stars, gag. Who wants to look like a bleach blonde skeleton?!!
I clicked yes, but I usually use the word pretty vs. the word beautiful.
I think I'm beautiful on the inside despite a few flaws on the outside. :)

Oh my goodness, I feel exactly like what you typed. I couldn't agree more.
everyone tells me I'm pretty, fiance actually does say i'm "beautiful" or "sexy". but I don't think so :o :o :o
No :(. Not even if I try real hard.
