It's the 49th anny of the Beatles coming to America!
Where did the time go.......Time to fire up the juke box and fry up some fish and chips.
--------
It's kinda cold to sit outdoors so we can spark up the fireplace and hang out there!
Done....:D

Fireplace and a Beatles' marathon?
Should we have Orc help with good Rocky's revival?
Sounds good Richard. And since champagne goes so well with fish and chips, I will order a glass to toast Fister's passage to the RB. Cheers to all those happy days we knew ...
Fish and chips?? - count me in - love em!
The Beatles??? - you can have them. I'm certain that I'm in the minority, but I was never a fan of theirs. I only ever liked a few of their more mellow tunes. "Yesterday" was a good one. :)
Hey!!! Who gave Orc the silver hammer?:eek::eek:
 I think Rita is coming out of the Lost and Found to book him. She will confiscate it!
WHEW! Thank god, I was about to head for the yellow subamrine.
I heard the yellow submarine was taking us on a mystery tour this week?
I just hope the octopuses garden is one of the stops.
No - that was yesterday!
Good plan, and here comes the sun to make it better.
So what's tomorrow?
Vodka in Georgia?
Please Mister Postman - just Let It Be!
I can't help it, it's been a hard day's night.
Well - you could always go back to the USSR
A world changes in 50 years.
It has make that old joke obsolete - fly BOAC, it'll give you the boke. (Does that translate?)
I think we should go to Strawberry Fields.
I leave for a while and no one can Act Naturally?
Do You Want a Know a Secret, Dear Prudence?
I don't want to spoil the party, but I must say Good Night.
Don't worry tho - I'll be back. :D
Hey Jude, she came in through the bathroom window, I saw her standing there and she loves you. I had a mega-crush on Paul (the cute Beatle) as did most of my classmates. Thankfully I've gotten over it :D
Help!! I came here for fish and chips, so Don't let me down and Don't pass me by. :p
I'm with Pom...I feel like the Fool on the Hill after taking the Long and Winding Road waiting for my Fish&Chips, but I'm sure We Can Work it Out With a Little Help From My Friends. ;)
Sorry for the wait, guys.
It was a bit of a magical mystery tour getting the fish. Do you KNOW how hard it is to fish from a submarine with Orc at the helm? Had to give up on that and switched to a boat on a river. Funny looking trees, but we got enough fish for everyone.
Of course - Orc's fault - I should have known better. Perhaps you should have taken our friends Across the universe on the expedition.
I knew I should have taken magill, who calls herself Lil, but she was off with Richard.
The Orc was the best option, and I could hardly let him man the nets, he would have eaten everything himself!
February Afternoon
Snowy day, and more to come
It does my heart good to see
All the little dark juncos
That elder generations called snowbirds
Busily eating up the seed I have thrown down
To tide them over the coming hours
The governor has closed the roads
Neighbors are huddled inside
Cars shrouded with a growing blanket of white
But the juncos keep going
Sprightly and gay
Cheery little silhouettes on the snowy ground
"Slow Down," the Beatles sang
And as the world settles in for the storm,
Only the juncos disregard their advice.
Snowbirds - such cute little guys. That's what they call folks from the north - Here, there, and everywhere - that head south to Florida for the winter. I'll bet a lot more folks would do the same if they had a free Ticket to ride!
I'd like to hijack this Thursday's for a meeting of the overcooker's anonymous chapter.....
I started a pot of Gumbo.
Had extra stuff (leftover chicken sitting in the fridge, etc) and tossed it in.
Adjusted the recipe to account for the extra stuff.
Now I'm wondering if I have enough room in the crockpot to add the sausage.
Only pot left that's bigger is one of the pots we use for canning.....
I need help. :(
Ah, took me years before I learned to adjust my cooking amounts to the number of people that would be consuming it! Hey, put half of it in the BIG bowl, add sausage to each and cook separately?
I was sick for two days, talk about wiped out?
---------------------
A bowl of gumbo sounds great, I'll help stir.
I don't mind cleaning the stove.:D
One bowl of Gumbo for the barkeep, with a side of dishtowel!
While you're under the weather, maybe the Edster can help out?

I had one of those stomach bugs that kept me in bed for almost a day and a half.....
And the cat was there for me!
He would climb under the blankets when I held them up for him.....then one morning I woke up with the cat on the other side of the bed, burrowed under the blankets.
I thought, "Hmm how did he get over there...."
I was half asleep when he was moving around on the bed and pretended I was asleep.
The little sucker came over the side I was facing and tried to burrow his rear under the blankets, failed and then tried to wake me up with some mewling.....
I woke up and let him in.
Happiness is a nice warm cat.
Awww, the Edster knew what to do!
Just made a nice batch of chai, anyone want some?
As long as no one shares the bacon with Lady!
