Opinions.. Okay here is mine. Please remember it is just an opinion, from someone who is a photography nut.
I'm not sure what you're trying to convey with these pictures - just snapshots or are you really trying to take an artistic photograph?
And what I mean is - do these have a message behind them or are they just point and shoot photos. Black and white tends to make everything look artistic in the photo world. Anyone could take a photo of a street sign, but not everyone would take the photo, say on the ground with a flower in main focus and the sign blurred in the background. Know what I mean? Put your artistic abilities into it... make it your's instead of a snapshot of a sign.
Try new angles, get on the ground, raise your camera above object, etc. Different angles often tell different stories and make a picture look like a photo.
That said, I really like the rocking chair one. The shadows create a tone and set the photo.
For anyone feeling childish (No, not you roxyluvsme) - I am not trying to offend anyone, just trying to help her out.)

Thanks Kay! Basically I guess they're meaningful. Most of the pics are from my school, and well our school is really old, and they remind me of things, and I thought they made cool pictures. (If that makes sense :p) Some of them were just random snapshots, and after I realized how much I *loved* taking pictures like these, the rest became supposed to be artistic. (The Rocking Chair one, was definitely for art. I set the angle of it and everything)
Thanks for the opinions, more would be lovely! :)

Those I really good! I agree bit with you, Kay... I'm trying different things with my camera too, and it's incredible how much I improved. I discovered that my camera is not as bad as I though :p

Cool pics Briana. With a little bit of work, you'll be doing professional stuff in no time. I love the fact that you're interested in photography and are willing to make changes to make it better. Good luck with it! :)

I think you did a good job, especially on the rocking chair one.
Do you think you could find a Slow Children Playing sign? :D Take a picture of it!! (yes, I have an obsession with those signs).

I was going to say basically what Kay did. I'm in a manual black and white photography class right now. As a general rule, nothing should be right in the middle but there ARE exxeptions. Try experimenting with depth of field and panning and bluring. :) I like them though. I went to your TigerLily Photography site, I like it. I'm in the middle of finishing my site, which will eventually become www.OrinocoPhoto.com
