I need PT prayers...
About a year ago while I was in Michigan, I developed a very bad upper respiratory infection which caused a blockage in my right ear. The hearing loss is pretty severe. I couldn't do anything about it because I didn't have any medical benefits at the time (I was unemployed). My SIL dragged me to a walk in clinic and got me fixed up with antibiotics. The blockage never went away.
Now that I have benefits through the temp agency, I went to my regular physician. She told me I have fluid behind my right ear drum. She said it was probably caused by the URI and gave me Flonase to use to try and drain it. She said IF it was going to work, I'd notice a difference in my hearing within a week. Well, it's not working and now I'm going to an ENT (ear, nose and throat specialist). She said sometimes it CAN be corrected with massive doses of steroids (I do NOT want to look like the Pillsbury Dough Girl!!!). But she also said it can also be permanent. The hearing is so bad that one day I was sleeping on my GOOD ear (I sound like my grandmother!!) and didn't hear the alarm go off, making me late for work.
That's why I'm asking you guys to pray that it's something that can be corrected. I know PT prayers work. At 53, I don't need anymore physical problems than I alread have.
Thanks guys!! You, as always, are the best!!! ;)

Oh Donna. :( I'm so sorry.
The worse thing about being sick is plugged up ears. It drives me insane. I can only imagine how much that sucks.
Here's praying that the ENT can fix it! :)

My thoughts and prayers are with you Donna. Medical problems are no fun. I hope everything will be okay :)

I'm just hoping he can stick something in there like a syringe and suck out the water. I've never been to an ENT before so I'm not sure what to expect. Call me chicken...cluck, cluck!!

Linn's hubby, Nick, had a plugged up ear. Had my mom take a look at it with a magnifying glass and she said it was red and swollen inside. She couldn't see any wax.
So he went to the doctor and he pulled out this black thing of wax and dirt out of his ear. :p
Nick said it was the grossest thing he'd ever seen. And he claims he can hear 100% better.

You know I'm completely deaf on one side. It's not the end of the world if it comes to that, and it gives you a strategy on who to sit on what side of! In any case, the ENT folks I have dealt with have all been very nice people, you don't have to worry.

Prayers on the way! ENTs are rather nice, at least the ones I've dealt with. I wouldn't worry too much :D
Easy for me to say, though. I'm the worlds biggest Dr wuss lol :)
